the stock ranger raptor one are the best i have tried. i like steps to be wide enough to step on and not worry about mis-stepping or rolling off anything. these do that and also stick out enough to keep cars from opening their door onto the paint. the wife and my kids like them too.

my son took the ones i bought him for his 24 ranger and he transferred them to his 26 ranger recently when he upgraded his truck

I agree the oem ones are too low. If you like those you can often find them as takeoffs for free.

i replaced them with the Gorhino rb20 which sit a few inches higher and stick out farther. I might have gone with the rb20 slim if I did it again. They were easy to install other than removing the oem running boards which had s lot of heavy loctite on the hardware.

What running boards or step bars do you have on your Ranger? I’m looking into options out there for my 2026 Ranger XLT. Also, are they hard to install?

I’ve looked at the one from
Ford. How do people like it?

Are you looking for something that has some drop, or is it the style of the Ford running board that you liked?

A similar style that doesn't drop as low that I recommend are the RealTruck Go Rhino RB20 Running Boards. Easy to install right at the factory mounting points, wide enough for a good step into the truck, and plenty of ground clearance.

This is my first truck and I’m just trying to get an idea of what’s out there. It’s hard to tell what the Ford running board would look like on my truck from a website picture. But a few people have mentioned the RB20 running boards, I’ll check them out.

The stock FX4 boards hung way too low for as low as the truck rides stock. Mine are for sale locally, replaced with RCI rock sliders.

Have to look up the name & probably not for everyone , also body mount ,light weight Aluminum , won't make much of a rock slider , but tucks up nicely .

Works for us old people .

I have the factory running boards and we love them. We don't hardcore off-road which I guess the folks complaining about them being too low do, but the off-roading that we do (where we're not testing the limits of the bash plates on the regular) have been fine with the factory boards. Our truck is a lariat fx4 with stock suspension height and 32" tires. We like that the boards are the perfect size to safely use as a step, even when wet or snowy, and they also protect the sides from flung dirt and gravel.

I am interested in the Ionic 41 running boards, I am also interested in the Ionic 3 in 1 mounting brackets. The installation of the running boards video does not appear to show the brackets and I do not see them offered as an option on the Real Truck site.
