Got my 2025 Ranger Lariat in April and the first order of business was to install the Start/Stop Eliminator.....but dang if I can get the connector disengaged to install it. Do any of you have tips on how to release the OEM connector from its components so as to install this necessary apparatus?

If you are talking about the plug end that goes into the module behind the glove box you want to be trying to release it by working the middle section of the plug.

Your not the only one that struggled getting it loose. There's a tab on the backside, you have to push that in and pull down at the same time.

watch flabordoopin's video linked above or this one too

Pinch the front and back of the wide side, get a firm grip and wiggle and vibrate it up and down a little and it comes right out

Got it.!!!!!! That rascal was methodically kicking my ass.....and there's not much to kick these days. Thank you all for your tutelage and encouragement. Just goes to show that we are all better together. I'll post my next modifications once they get released. Y'all have a great holiday weekend and stay safe. The traffic out here in Southern Colorado heading up to the mountains is unbelievable.....and they are all in a hurry. Here is a picture for you from 1964 and the start of the Pikes Peak Internatinal Hill Climb.

It’s a serious pain! Took me trying two days for an hour each day. Finally, on the third day I was able to slay the auto start-stop dragon! 😂

Does this void your warranty? Salesman said that it could.

No, it doesn't void the warranty. I would not ever trust what a sales person says regarding either the the vehicle's systems or the warranty coverage. They know much less than the members of this forum who actually take the time to learn about the vehicle.
