Sure Love the 360 camera view

The one thing I refused to do was buy a Ranger without the 360 view. I knew it would be handy due to tight parking quarters, and for backing into parking spaces which is the best and safest way to park IMHO. I had to have it, no if's, ands or buts.

It hasn't disappointed. It makes it easy to get straight in the lines. It makes it easy to not scrape or hit anything. I like that you can even see the dividing line between your space and the one behind you.

If I could change 2 things it would be an even larger 360 display and a way to adjust the solid tone, it goes solid at about 12" where my old Superduty went solid at 4" and I could use that extra space to get closer to a wall in my driveway so the other car has room to open the doors all the way, as far as I know once it goes solid you have no way to know how close you are other than "within" 12". Actually I think if you look at the corner you are near to something the colored crescent changes color, will have to explore that a little closer. But the tone would be better because you don't have to look at the screen.

I read that if you are about to hit something while parking there will be some automatic braking but I haven't experienced this, have you? How close do you have to be before it kicks in?

agreed on the 360, loving having it. Our first experience was with our Braptor. Now having it on our Ranger is great. I have no idea on the automatic breaking, will let others chime in. Watching this thread.

so you can inch up on something and even hit it

Yeah, I used it today to see if I was centered in a parking space. I also love how the front cam kicks on when approaching an object in front of the truck. Great features!

I get the autobraking but I think you have to be going a certain speed for it to kick in. Like if I back into my garage quicker, it will alert and stop when I get close to my back wall, but if I creep in, it does not stop me the same way, or I just don't let it LOL... but I think I knows the difference based on speed.

I I saved me the other day backing out backing out in the dark. Forgot our guest had parked at the side of the driveway

which brings up my biggest complaunt compared to other cars the cameras are not good at night

and tend to get rain drops. So not so great in the rain.

agree 100%. when wet or during/after rain with drops, useless.

I read somewhere that you apply rain x to the cameras it will help prevent water and debris from sticking to them

The 360 camera package really is a great feature, I agree with you!
I have had the automatic braking turn on, and it has annoyed me several times. My parents live on a hill, so their driveway is angled and when I back out of their driveway if I’m not paying attention to driving very slow the truck will slam on the brakes when I just get my back tires on the street. My truck would never ever bottom out there, even cars don’t bottom out there but the sensors are so sensitive that it recognizes the street and assumes I’m going to hit it.
Other than that it’s a really nice feature!

The first day I had my 24 Lariat I stopped by to show a friend. He has a very steep driveway. As I was backing out (not sure of my speed) the truck screamed and abruptly stopped. I pulled forward a little and tried again. Stopped almost immediately. After the third attempt, not knowing what was going on, I put it neutral and rolled into the street. When I got home, I went through the on board owners manual and found the setting for the auto stop breaking and shut it off. Whenever I am backing on a steep incline I still get the scream.
I agree about the backup camera in the rain. It was pouring today and as I was backing up the view from the camera was blurred by the rain.
