Suspension torque specs

OK, I rarely get stumped, but I have searched for over an hour on the general forum and on the ranger raptor forum and on the suspension forum and can’t find the front suspension torque settings for a Ranger raptor. The instructions with the GOAT Level kit call for 405 foot pounds on the front lower strut bolt …550 Newton pounds I believe. I’m just trying to verify this in all my decades of truck suspension. I’ve never seen a torque value that high. This is akin to a Honda front axle nut if correct. lol
The rear is in the 300s
I dont have a shop manual for this truck yet but clearly I should.

Btw. I can’t believe with all the lists that have been done and as far away from the norm as this torque value is that there isn’t some info on the forum about it but somehow I’ve overlooked it or cannot find it.

While the vehicle is on the ground, measure from the center of the hub to the lip of the fender.

406 lb ft per the Ford dealer manual for the lower strut assembly nut. However, it should only be finger tight until all other bolts are tightened to spec AND the weight of the vehicle is resting on the wheel (using a jack on the lower control arm, not on the wheel itself). Raise it until the distance between the center of the hub and the lip of the fender is equal to the measurement taken during removal.

Connect all of the sensors and clips then put the wheel back on.

Upper nuts are 46 lb ft. Stabilizer bar link is 85 lb ft. Upper ball joint nut is 46 lb ft. Ride height sensor is 80 lb *inches*. Tie rod end nut is 85 lb ft.

All nuts and bolts should be replaced except for the ride height sensor.

Edit: added some detail for other torque figures and measurement of the hub to the lip, hence why it may read weird.

Got it…so torque when loaded. Im used to that on all Mustang lower control arms

Yes they list that bolt in their instructions at 550 freakin NM. When I did the conversion it blew me away

Really not sure what your looking for here?

The torque specs we state in our instructions are as per the factory Ford service manual. We didnt just make them up.

Its an M20 12.9 bolt, which for course thread can have a nominal torque of around 486ft/lb, so the Ford recommendation is actually not that high in relative terms.

Did anyone say you made it up? No one attacked you or your company. Was I not clear on what I was looking for. I asked someone to verify the torque setting. No reason to be so aggressive. It just caught me off guard for such a small truck and I have decades of experience with Fords and there is not a single bolt on even a larger f150 thats is that high. None. Not one. Not on any year. I mentioned that I did not have the Ford manual to check it. Its always good to double check something if you are not sure. I got what I was “looking for here” which was a verification. Thanks for your concern though.
