The interior quality is one of the reasons I sold it. It's simply abysmal. Easily scratched plastics, rattles, squeaks, etc. It's unfortunate that at Ford, compact means poor(er) quality, even at 40k.
Hey guess what when you buy more expensive Fords none of those issues change! :)

I think the Maverick is a great vehicle for the price but from your pictures OP you sure look like you could use some more truck!
I recently had Lobo as a loaner for a day and I was impressed for what it was, compared to my wife's Rav4 of about the same price.

Yeah, fair enough. When my Maverick was at the dealer for one of the many recalls, they gave me an 80k Expedition. It was nice. Great seats. Better quality.

And then I went over a bump. The entire headliner started rattling. 😁

Ok, We traded the wife's daily driver Bronco Sport for a new 2025 Ranger XLT FX4 in June. I've been daily driving a 2023 Maverick Lariat since I bought it on my birthday, 2023. I lowered it 3", it has a catch can, bov, MRT straight-pipe exhaust (no muffler) and I run a Cobb Accessport since 20K. I now have 106,500 on her. She has always run like a champ! To all those that say you are very limited in Elk country, I need to get the pics out....lived in Colorado till just recently. The Maverick is very capable offroad but definitely not a 4x4. But I've run many forest service roads and been 15 miles down Padre Island National Seashore. But I do agree with the guy that said "A maverick is enough till it's not"....lol. I had a tuned 2019 Lariat Ranger so I knew I needed to get back in one. BTW....the Idaho fellow that says his 2L Maverick is as fast as his 2.7 Ranger.....:giggle:...not true! (no disrespect intended...just stating the facts)
The Mav is quick with an Accessport but I will smoke my Mav with the wife's new 2.3 Ranger without a tune in it (btw, I'm waiting for my Livernois tunes as we speak for the Ranger). Also, the Maverick is built on Ford's C2 chassis, which it shares with the Escape and the Bronco Sport. Not really a truck....it's a car with a bed on it...lol. All in All the Mav is great but the Ranger is heads above in all categories....IMHO

My brother has a 2026 Maverick Tremor it can go all the places that my Lariat FX4 goes and then some. It's only rate to pull 2000 pounds whereas my Ranger can tow 7500 but both of use never tow anything.

I question that.
Although "on paper" your FX4 has only like 1/4" more ground clearance, the Maverick appears to have much more low hanging items vs a Ranger, and those items are much less durable.

I briefly had a Maverick before upgrading to the Ranger. The Maverick is a great little truck if you live in the city, but I felt the 2.0 EcoBoost motor was gutless when driving in the mountains - which there is a lot of in my region of the country. The one thing I'm eternally jealous of the Maverick for is the hybrid power train (which exists on the Ranger outside of the US). When I switched to the Ranger I really noticed what an economy vehicle the Maverick is. The primary thing that stuck out is that the Ranger is much quieter when driving on the highway compared to the Maverick. I guess that the insulating material that dampens sound is reduced or entirely removed on the Maverick to save money during the build process.

... The Allison engine has great MPG and is good for city commuters, not great for rural living or off roading. The Maverick Lariat also has.....
Allison engine?

My Dodge Challenger could go all the places my wife's Escape goes too... Other than maybe a gravel road a time or two she doesn't leave the pavement...

I came from a 2023 XLT ecoboost that served my purposes well. Brand new 2025 Ranger STX for 30k, along with excellent trade value for the Mav was enough to jump back to midsize. The average MPG currently sitting at 24mpg on the 2.3 ecoboost is far better than I was expecting. I averaged 24.6 in the Maverick. Admittedly, mine is primarily a pavement princess to and from work, along with the weekend Home Depot run. I have been happy with both so get what works best for you!

After my 2024 XL/STX had a few thousand miles on it, suddenly my gas mileage got even better. I now get 27.5 mpg on my my 2.3 L engine.
