I saw in another thread that you said the truck that came with tow package only had a different harness than the ones withe OEM TBC? Is that confirmed. This would really means the end for going the OEM route.
From a ford parts list it had shown 2 different dash harness part numbers which has m concerned the wires for the factory brake controller may or may not be there. No one as of yet has dived into this possibility for a definite answer. My particular XL was special ordered with trailer package but there was no option for the controller until 2026 model year options. My truck does have the connector for an aftermarket control plug in.

I am leaning heavily on the redarc because I am tired of the dealership not being able to answer my questions about the factory wires or the chance the wires are there or not. They don't even know why my sync voice doesn't work to control music on my USB.

dealers, especially sellers, are something to get rid of. You go there and if they're like the last one I saw "this specific ranger is more expensive because it has STX package". Like all ranger in canada come with minimum STX package... drop facebook on the job and start learning your business.

I'm definitely gonna strip mine and check it. I just hope I will find hope under there. Can't believe this hasn't been done tho as 2026 model are out I'm usually not the one clearing the path....

I bit the bullet and ordered the liberty redarc and tph007. I ordered from Truckpoint.ca(Canadian site)
They beat and matched pricing and I got free shipping. $300 total CDN. Now to decide if I want the switch in the light panel blank or where the factory one would have gone. Decisions decisions....🤔

I'll help you! I'm extremely Ocd, spent countless hours figuring out a solution and said f* it. Drilled a hole under the pannel for the light and installed the red arc tow pro elite. I drilled the hole about 3" inline with the OEM light control knob. Works like a charm honestly I regret wasting that many hours trying to find a work around... now time to find heated seats and 400w power outlet 😅💪🏽

We recently bought the Ranger xlt with trailer tow option only to discover to brake controller either and almost impossible to add. The vehicle is currently at a Ford dealer attempting to install an after market redarc brake controller using the tph025 harness. Hoping it worked for you and it works for us. We had several look for the actual brake wiring and couldn't find it.

The dealer is "supposedly" installing it and this is the tph-025 is what he indicated it would work. We will find shortly if they were wrong then.
I hope th dealer doesn't cut the factory plug off your truck and hard wire that harness on....😬

Which plug do you need? I currently have an aftermarket controller plugged into a 4 pin under the dash.
The trucks that came equipped with advanced tow with controller has the wiring that plugs into the factory brake controller. If you ordered your truck with a trailer package, you get a wiring block that you can plug an aftermarket controller into. Other truck with no trailer options order or built with it, need a bunch of wiring.
