Mine should be here in a few days, it’s in route to dealership. They will just have to do everything to install it unfortunately. I have an M4 MacBook Pro, which I can’t use even if I run Windows on it with Parallels. Need a computer that’s x86, not compatible with ARM based computers. Not worth the hassle to rush out and buy a computer just for this.

You can pick up a Windows laptop at Sam's or Costco for very little. That way you download the software to your computer and maintain possession of it.
Besides I tell my clients that use Apple to keep a Windows PC just for situations like this. This kind of thing happens more often than most people think it does especially in business settings.

That is perfectly fine, some dealers even require it this way as they're finicky and want to charge you for the entire process

I don’t know, you may have to apply 4 decals and get your windows tinted to get the full 455hp!

As I understand it you have to download the tune to programer after you receive it using a Windows laptop. Having the tune on your own laptop would be optimal. If not the tune file will be on the technicians laptop and in your programmer. I do not know if Ford does updates to these tunes but if they did having be a laptop would make it easy to do the update.

As long as the ProCal is linked/registered to the Ford Performance account of the owner, any future actions can be performed such as updates. There should be no dependency on the device that originally did the install. The dealer used their laptop to do the install on my truck. I temporarily changed the password to my account so they could do it and changed it again as soon as they were finished. I maintain all the access that is needed for any future updates by myself or a different dealer. If the dealer insists they use their Ford Performance account, I would recommend finding another dealer.

I wanted to go this route, but for some reason, my local dealership was not listed as a possible shipping location for this. My ProCal was overnighted from Ford yesterday, arrives today at my house, and I'm set up for install appointment at that same dealership at 7am on Friday!

I ordered mine directly from Ford and added the $112 installation. I was quoted $250 by my local dealer for the install, so called to confirm that they would honor the $112 price. Service manager said they didn't like to, but had to accept it.

There’s also a 15% discount coupon code that can be used on the Ford Accessories website. Not sure how long it runs for but it worked for me.
