Put in the seat risers I ordered last week.
I wanted more lift in the back of the seat to better take pressure off the back of my legs on long drives.

Hardest part was getting these dang bolt covers off so I could loosen the bolts on the front of the seat. Lol
‘Managed to gouge them up a bit getting them off. 😂

I think so, not really been anywhere since installing them.
I have a 5hr road trip planned for next Thursday.
‘I will find out.

Based on what I know now is I could not tell much difference with only the one shim installed.
I needed both for the 3/4 lift for it to feel much different.

I think it will work nicely can’t hurt.
‘The seats can drop so low on the back side I can hardly see over the wheel and I am 6ft tall.
‘So even now with the lift shims in them I can still drop it down way lower then I can see anyone ever wanting it.

Also worth mentioning is the instructions seem to only indicate these shims are for the front of the seat which would only make matters worse for what I was after. Luckily they did work just fine for the back of the seat as well. The other set is going in my 24 model next.

I checked the Desert Does It website and if u check the ones specifically for the ranger, it states the front or back so your probably good.

Sure enough, surprised the instructions didn’t mention that, no big deal, pretty strait forward install without instruction. Nice to know that it was meant for either or.
Thanks for info.

Here is link in case anyone else is looking for something like this.

So I installed my tonneau today. I ended up going with the Leer hf650m. Took the truck to a car wash test (touchless style with side jets).

My water sealing efforts were under the bed rail cap, side of tailgate, front holes right at the top next to cab, and gasket covers in all the little open holes I could reasonably find. I did not seal every threaded insert, as I deemed the additional length meant to hold the bolt would disrupt any minor chance water would have of spraying into the bed. I also haven't installed the tailgate bottom gasket in my Keko kit yet because of my spray in bed liner interfering with the intended install location.

Long story short is the car wash test results were mixed. On one hand, the sealing efforts appeared to be very successful. I saw zero apparent water intrusion from the bulkhead, tailgate or under the rail caps. On the other hand, there was a bit of water ingress between the tonneau gasket that lays on top of the rails.

The tonneau I have is low profile, which I like, but this does mean that the rubber gasket that drapes off the side of the panels is effectively the only barrier to water coming from the side, especially if it is at a slight upwards angle. The channels are fairly flush and drop straight into the bed.

Obviously, high pressure water spray at a perfect perpendicular is a lab environment and not representative of daily use and normal precipitation. I'd say this is likely weather tight already, outside of extreme weather like an active hurricane, but that's also before the gasket material has had a chance to sit in the sun and with gravity and conform to the installed location.

Overall, happy with the result but obviously I would have been thrilled for even better. I do think a strip of very thin rubberized foam on the top of the outside rail would completely eliminate my water ingress. So if it's still a problem I'm real world testing that's the next step.

Hauled a Subaru EJ207 around. The truck was squatting a little with the engine and stand.

Got my 24’ model RR back today.
‘Had it in the detail shop getting detailed and the same door, roof, and fender sound dreading installed on it that I had done to the new 25’ model RR last week.

Note the same shop does my PPF work, we were both a bit surprised at the level of damage my back fenders have seen in only 12k miles.

There is price to be paid if you pull off the side steps.
Splash guards, PPF were not enough to save those back fenders from damage.

Dang.... All the way up to the gas cap door level. I did 3M PPF up 10 inches from the bottom--or, about 3 1/2 below gas cap door level.

The KO2' on my former Wrangler tossed rocks just the same--impacting the plastic flares.
