What is better Ford Tow package or Ebay tow package kit?

Hello everyone,
I live near the border and recently decided to purchase a Ford Ranger Wildtrak 2024 (4x4) in Mexico. To my surprise, the truck didn't come with the Tow package, so now I need to buy it separately. The dealer quoted me $1000 for the package, but I plan to check with a dealer in California for a comparison.
On Ebay, They seem to cost around $500.

My question is: Has anyone here bought one of those packages being sold on eBay? Are they any good?

If so, it really does not matter where you buy it so long as it is the genuine Ford accessory. Part cost and probably a couple or so hours of dealership labor, I can see it pushing the $1K cost.

thanks for your advice, i think you are right with use genuine ford parts, the kit that you are sharing has not the wire harnesses, do you have the part number for them?

i requested to formal quotation to identify what is included on the $1000 bucks.

As an option for adding the tow hitch receiver you may want to consider the Curt class 3 trailer hitch. My understanding is a flat 4 pin connector is included behind the rear bumper even if the truck is not equipped with the factory trailer hitch. If you need the round 7 pin type wire connection for trailer brakes and the controller for inside the cab then that will require additional components

Curt must have released the 2024 Ranger hitch within the last couple of weeks as was not listed a month ago.

I would suggest the OP go with the Curt hitch receiver and save a few bucks over the OEM one.

Did you buy the oem hitch for your wildtrack? i'am in mexico and i'am wondering if the R1WZ19D520A part will fit the mexican version

It looks the Mexican versión has setup different for the American versión. I end using a Mercado libre hitch.

The Curt looks good and I can use the ford 4 pin wiring that came installed at the factory.
I had the Curt receiver hitch installed at a local repair shop. Total cost was $391

I used the Draw Tite hitch from Amazon, and as I remember, it also had Mercado Libre in the paperwork, so may be the same manufacturer.
