This was something I did a while back and wanted to share it.

Replaced all the existing orange ambient lights with ambient lights that are capable of 7 colors. Then used forscan to enable the menu to let me choose from the available colors.

I knew this was done on the f150s but didn’t know the process to do it on this.

This seems to be somewhat popular in Southeast Asia. I contacted few of them and I bought myself the parts (It was wiring and led bulbs)

Disconnected the battery and then started prying majority of the interior dash. The one that took a while was the light next to the wireless phone charger (under the infotainment). The others were quiet straight forward. Also routed two more lights to the footwells.

Anyways, I guess it was kind of worth it. I mean doesn’t really add much and I could definitely do without it but it’s nice to have.

It’s been a while. I’ll have to see about the parts. I’ll get back to you in a bit about the parts. Here are the forscan changes though.

So there’s two options. You could either order the parts from Ford parts. You just need to find the part number. I don’t have the part numbers unfortunately. There was a post on the bronco forum about the same thing but I’m not sure if the same parts would work on the ranger. I have attached the parts they listed on the bronco forum. Again not sure if they would work.

The second option is what I did and it is to contact some of these guys in Southeast Asia and get them to ship the parts for you. They sell it all together. So it’s sort of like plug and play but you have to remove the interior trim. I found this guy on TikTok who has a video tutorial on the entire process. I have attached it (you will have to slow the video down or watch it frame by frame).

So you can either contact the guy in the video on TikTok: @auto97_car_retrofit

or you can contact the guy I got mine from. He is from the Philippines. It’s a LHD country so might be good if you are from the US. His names Lanz and you have to download WhatsApp and contact him on +63 935 498 0073‬. I paid $350 for the parts including shipping.

There might be other places idk.

Once you get the parts, i would also watch this video to get an idea on removing the interior (You don’t have to remove the seats haha). This is just to know how to approach it. This helped me a lot:

And of course watch the attached video as well.

Super cool! Good to know it's possible, but damn why do we have to do this? Insane that my 2013 Ford Focus Titanium (sticker price of $26K) has multicolor ambient lighting, but my 2025 Ranger Lariat ($50K) has one color for ambient lighting. I like red ambient lighting when driving at night. That's all I want.

Thanks for all the info. Super helpful. As has been stated, I prefer red ambient lighting not this "orange" which just looks like old, worn out, incandescent lights.

Would also like to change it to blue from time to time, so the RGB would definitely be nice.

Yeah red looks good. Also about the orange in these new lights, you can still choose orange but it’s not the same orange as stock. It’s a darker orange, almost like a red. I’ll post a pic later to show what I mean.

This is what orange looks like with the replaced lights. The lighter orange is the stock light.

How do we know the Ranger's OEM LED interior lights are not multi-color capable? Has anyone enabled the interior lighting menu with the OEM LED's?

Very cool, I don’t have ambient lighting in my XLT. I added the F150leds.com kit. Currently $189, which is up about $30 from when I bought it.. works pretty well.
