Does the 2024 Ranger have Auto-Hold?

For every day commuting I would prefer these items shut off. I could see the usefulness on long road trips. Adaptive cruise control and the other technologies would be useful for fatigue.

Yeah, Auto Hold uses the electronic e-brake (I think) when you come to a complete stop. It just stays engaged until you press the accelerator.

I am inclined to believe it has it specifically because they offer adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go. That essentially slows your vehicle and holds until the traffic moves again.

That makes sense. 5G Rangers don't have electronic parking brakes.

Unlikely. Maybe the Aussie manual mentions it if you can get your hands on one?

I was actually wondering the same thing. My '21 F150 has it and I got so used to it that when I drive my other cars I realize how handy it is. Not a dealbreaker but I would like to have it on the Ranger.

My South African Raptor (Built in Thailand) has Auto Hold as standard equipment. (But then again, all available options are standard on the SA models, apart from the trailer brake controller and intelligent adaptive cruise control - only "normal" ACC.)

I just ordered a 2024 Lariat. Does MY24 have the Auto-Hold brake when you go to a stoplight, or stop sign? I really miss that from my Bronco Sport I used to have!

yes my 24 Lariat does.

I havent tested it specifically but I suspect my 25 XL has it. This is only based on the difference in my truck and my 14 camry sitting on a hill. The camry is a lot more prone to roll back on a hill than my truck. This is seat of the pants only.

I ended up turning off auto-hold on my 2025 RB Ranger (NZ) because I prefer to be able to creep in traffic (when not using adaptive cruise). Then I use the electronic brake when I want to use “auto-hold” like waiting with my foot off the brake, and then just press the accelerator when I’m ready to go. The electronic brake is automatically released similar to auto-hold.
