Assuming no UAW strikes, I think I saw someone say 4-5 weeks for delivery after production. So when do you think we will actually get our RRs? I know delivery can very, but do you think we should have them by October?
I'm being realistic as other pre pandemic new Fords I ordered took forever to arrive. I'm anticipating early next year arrival even with a September build. My 17 150 Raptor built August, showed up end of February due to transmission issue at factory. Another F150 same timing. Problem is how it's handled at shippers or if production issues come up. They seem to sit in railyards for months. My mustang sat loaded on a rail car for three months, arrived just in time to put it away for winter! So I'm waiting on next year in my mind and will do happy dance if earlier won't be disappointed that way.So when do you think we will actually get our RRs? Yeah I basically just laid into my sales guy just now for essentially not knowing his process, and that I basically knew more than he did about ordering. At this point I don't even care anymore. If they don't even have a fucking list and theres say 10 orders in the bank and they only get 3 allocations next, how am I even guaranteed to get one. I was literally the first person at the door when the banks opened on the 26th with even written confirmation I was the first order they received.I agree! What really surprised me was that they told me that's what happened. They would have been better off telling me "sorry, but apparently it was already committed to someone else". I would have been mad either way but just knowing it was the owner that did that looks really bad imo.
Keep in mind, Ford and every other OEM is in the business of selling product and generating revenue. This assumption that there's only a limited supply is fabricated. I PROMISE that you will be be able to purchase one.Yeah I basically just laid into my sales guy just now for essentially not knowing his process, and that I basically knew more than he did about ordering. Yeah I know. But basically I lost my chance at getting the first one, now I just wait until its available to the masses. My salesguy and I both know he isn't getting 10s on his survey, so I think it's over with him.Keep in mind, Ford and every other OEM is in the business of selling product and generating revenue. Oh no....You can't get the first one...The sky is falling.Yeah I know. But basically I lost my chance at getting the first one, now I just wait until its available to the masses. My salesguy and I both know he isn't getting 10s on his survey, so I think it's over with him.
It's more about the effort that I put in to try and get the first one. If in the beginning, it was like can't have the first one but you can have the third, that would have been fine. The frustrating part of this whole thing was, the dealer just has 0 systems or process on how to accept orders for limited allocated units. It was basically just the wild wild west. 10 people ordered, 10 orders in the bank, all same priority code. No system as to who's order is selected for allocation.Oh no....You can't get the first one...The sky is falling.
Too funny how impatient we are. I've been there before, so I get it, but I've learned that just having a bit of patience pays off in spades. Is it really that important to get the first one? I could care less if I get #1 or #1000 for example. I plan on test driving most of the new mid-sized trucks that are coming so I'm in no rush.
Don’t listen to this guy trying to make you feel bad for not getting something you wanted and worked hard to try and get. They basically just went under the assumption that they would get enough allocations when I repeatedly told then you are only getting 1. And turns out, it was only 1. So thats what I am upset about. But you are right, no point in pissing and moaning about it now.
Snkrjeff020, No, he is not right. If he is so patient great, good for him, and his condescending superior patience level. But, not to judge yours. I have seen your posts on this forum and you have asked the right questions, and have done the right things. Don't let anybody make you feel embarressed about being disapointed. You want your RR sooner then "who knows when" down the road. There can be NO PROMISE as to when you get your RR. I am impatient waiting for the scheduling to begin on my XLT, I "think" I have done the right moves to get it when scheduling comes out. I will tell you this, if I don't, I'm going to be pissed AND disapointed because it will mean I have been lied to, and my damn dealers I have TRIED to explain things to did not listen. Those of you that lecture about "disapointment and patients" have you even ordered and waited? Some of you have not, because I see posts stating you are waiting "for this reason or that reason."It's more about the effort that I put in to try and get the first one. So thats what I am upset about. But you are right, no point in pissing and moaning about it now.
