I’m beginning to believe that they just don’t want to build these things at all, it was supposed to begin in August & now it’s not going to begin until January if it even begins then!! This entire process has been one disappointing thing after another!!

Looks like scheduling got pushed back again, now no '24 Rangers being scheduled until 12/14 :frown: It seems that the Michigan Assembly Plant wants to clear out remaining '23 Bronco orders (before 2023 is over) before switching to the new Ranger.
Where did you see that? It makes sense, but man it’s disappointing.

It's unfortunate, but I think rather than a means to chip away at Toyota's dominance in the mid-size category, Ford views every ranger sold as a lost opportunity to sell an F150.

I have a F150 now, I no longer need or want a F150. If I did I would buy one, it’s not Ford’s decision as to what I purchase. It’s pretty sad that a corporation the size of Ford can’t get their act together enough to put a product out. I read a article yesterday where Ford dealers do not even trust corporate at all so it stands to reason that the consumer has difficulty!!

I too have a F150 and no longer need a F150.
I totally agree with you.

Agreed as well. I don't have an F150, but would love an F150 platinum in a Ranger body size! F150's are too big as I like to park my vehicles in a garage and the F150 doesn't fit.... Luckily the Lariat Ranger that I have ordered has -most- of the things I like about the F150, but not everything...Now if only could get scheduled.....

Platinum Ranger would be my pick.

The Bronco circus was and still is worse.

There are people who ordered 2DR Heritage Broncos (a few are original reservation holders from 2020 and early 2021) who've had their orders canceled due to supplier issues and any 2Dr Heritage Limited Broncos set to go to Dealers were also canceled. This applies to '23 M.Y Heritage 2Drs only, since they won't let Dealers order '24 Heritage Broncos yet.
We should be glad the Ranger/Ranger Raptor hasn't gotten to this point yet.

Other than UAW delaying things....Ford hasn't really had any issues with the ranger launch. I've never seen grown men acting so embarrassing over some delays for a vehicle. Do you guys ever stop crying or do we need another 3 threads where y'all think we care that you decided to get a GM or tacoma?(hint: no one gives a shit)

Take a few deep breaths and understand that you could be in a way worse situation (like the bronco people mentioned above).

I guess the main question is this, would any of this bullshit be acceptable in any other business model? Would it be OK if you ordered a new central air unit from say Carrier or Trane or how about a new riding tractor from Kubota? It’s their business to build & sell vehicles yet they seem to not be able to get the task accomplished in more instances than not. For me, I see it as a management problem in that they just don’t seem to have their acts together. People like myself placed orders for these trucks because they want them, if Ford wasn’t ready to produce the vehicles they shouldn’t have opened the order bank when they did, period. To say people are crying or whatever like it’s wrong to bitch because a company whose business it is to build & sell something isn’t getting it done, you’re damn right I’m bitching. I didn’t order the damn thing just to say I ordered it, I ordered it because I want it & when Ford took the order they became obligated to fulfill that order in a timely fashion & if you think that’s crying, tough shit!!

If I ordered a new riding tractor from Kubota, and the tractor builder's union was striking for 3 months and delayed my order by 3 months, no I wouldn't hold Kubota accountable for the union striking.

I'm not sure where you are, but my ford dealer (small town) has over a hundred various vehicles on the lot. It seems like Ford is making more vehicles than consumers need considering the abundance on the lot.

I also ordered a vehicle months ago, knowing full-well that the UAW was likely going to delay things and that continuing supplychain issues from the last 3 years would also likely introduce delays.....which every single car manufacturer is still dealing with. I'm not delusional to think that everything is hunky dory just because the pandemic is in the past. I came into this process expecting delays.

You ordered a 2024 model vehicle. Is it 2024 yet? If not, then quit crying. When it's 2025 and you're still waiting on a 2024, then you can complain about "timely fashion". Go talk to people who have been waiting 3 years for their Broncos if you want some actual perspective on ford not fulfilling obligations. But as a ranger orderer, you have no leg to stand on to be crying in 2023 when you ordered a 2024, lol.

if you can't stop crying, go buy a 2023 ranger, a 2023 tacoma, a 2024 colorado or a 2024 canyon. talk is cheap and if ford is screwing up as badly as you claim, why give them any money?

First off, no one is crying but I do think it’s a legitimate bitch to say if they weren’t ready to build them they shouldn’t have opened the order banks.

Secondly, blaming the union isn’t correct either as the manufacturers knew the demands but chose to drag it out instead of getting right with them & more importantly the strike only accounts for six weeks of the past five, going on six months.

Lastly, I don’t go purchase the brands you mention because they are not what I want. I ordered a 2023 Corvette & from order date to my garage was 87 days so there’s no excuse for all this other than the management or should I say mismanagement not having their act together. This is my opinion, I don’t expect you to agree nor do I care. I hope you get the vehicle you ordered & enjoy it immensely!!

I think it's fair to call some of the posts he's referenced "embarrassing", if not quite "crying". The less they've actually waited and the nicer/newer what they already drive, the more upset they seem to be when they go on about the Tacoma or something else they're going to get instead.

If I'm upset about anything... It's been almost a year since I first tried to order a 2023 ranger. I should have some idea when I'm getting my 2024, but I don't and neither does anyone else really.

I promise I won't cry, but if I get bumped into 2025 I'll make a thread to whine and tell ya'll what I bought instead.
