A dealer outside Philadelphia, not far from me, is listing a brown RRaptor for sale, and as "in transit". Probably fake news. And he has an $11k markup, bringing it to $70k. No thanks!

fake news for sure....

Hey Randy, I see you also have a HPR '19 XLT like mine. I saw one at MAP in the employee lot back in August 2019, and it must have been one of the first produced. Is this yours by chance? That was the main reason I ordered this color. I was on a visit to the Dearborn plant, and took a side trip to Wayne especially to look for the new 5g's. I got mine December 2019. Ordered my 6g XLT 5/26, back to white ...

I happen to work at a Dealership here in colorado.... and our first Ranger Raptor coming in for a customer is also listed as "in transit"

I personally would not say it is fake news. There are 15-30 showing in my system across the us that are showing as in transit, everything else still shows at the plant.

In transit means..... it will be in transit at some point but right now it's sitting right here.

Just saw in another thread that these are all for scrap apparently? Anyone else see that?

Once vehicle goes into production it populates automatically on dealer website. Mine just did on my dealer's site. He's going to mark sold on the listing or take it down so people aren't inquiring on it.

My dealer did the same, they took the truck down because so many people were calling on it.

I doubt that is true because a lot of them have window stickers on them. The crush cars more than like would not.

It's real, but misleading.

In all likelihood, you're seeing a customer factory order that was automatically listed on the dealer's website based on an algorithm.

It's not actually available "For Sale " and that's likely not the actual price the customer will pay.

100% correct. They didn't post that, it populates on dealer sites once the invoice is created by Ford. The price is likely a built in algorithm like you said.

My Ranger Raptor was invoiced on 2/12 and that's when my vehicle populated on my dealer's website.

Further, in some locations they get away with significant adm charges. I didn't pay one, and wouldn't. But, a price above msrp on a vehicle with so little production would not be out of the ordinary.
