That’s a good quote!I ws quoted $190 by my Ford dealer if we can ever get the J-Brace kit as it on national backorder now
Nice, this is the response when I asked my dealerI ws quoted $190 by my Ford dealer if we can ever get the J-Brace kit as it on national backorder now
So after talking with our service department we would be at 682.17 plus tax for the part and labor.
Structural reinforcement for bedWhat are the "j braces" all about? Sorry I'm new here. Are they something I gotta worry about?
o, so like a camper or rack? load bearing items that attach to bed rails?
Looks fairly straightforward to me
I was told by a local Ford dealer that the cost is per brace. I told them that it's a kit, which should include 2 braces/brackets. They seemed clueless otherwise about the issue. Ford needs to step up here with a customer satisfaction fix. Anyone else encounter this? The kit includes both brackets, right??Has anyone done their J brace install through dealer? What have you paid?
went in to talk to my local dealer and they said they hadn’t done one yet. And quoted 4 hours of labor. Also mentioned that they would need to take the bed OFF…
Any official documentation i can show them that that is not the case? Seems wild to me.
Yes, it is the price for the set. $159 for the Raptor, $169 for the non-Raptor. Not many people get a topper put on from the dealer so we are lucky that whoever started the first thread about needing the j braces was someone who bought a topper from a dealer, maybe. I dont know how else anyone would have known, not even dealers. I'll bet their service guys are scratching there heads as well. Anyways, you can order them from the dealer's parts counter even though on the Ford Parts website it says "notify me when available." You have to pay up front. I had them put on my wife's and I ordered a set for me so they are here when my Rangers Raptor is delivered. Is it scheduled to be built the week of 9/30 so hopefully they'll be here in time because I want them on before I get it undercoated.I was told by a local Ford dealer that the cost is per brace.
