Not sure if you are crazy or not , but that is crooked. Mine is off center a little too, and still annoys me after over a month of ownership.

I'm debating on getting it warrantied. It's driving me nuts.

I know some say its only a Ranger, but for the price paid or even Ford having some pride in final assembly, that needs to be made right. In my instance, the front passenger seat is heavily wrinkled compared to the driver's side and both "Ford Performance" sill guards were apparently hastily installed and are crooked. My RR was built on a Friday, so maybe those were installed close to quitting time?!?!?!

mine is the same, its normal. It's a ford ranger not a mercedes s550.

Am I the crazy one or does that photo with the grid lines show it nearly perfectly centered? And I'm a nitpicking psychopath, so I'm really trying to find something wrong here.

Edit* Upon further inspection, I'm surmising that it's the right side of the vertical strip that you're referring to? To each their own, I suppose, but it's just a visual guide to know your wheel's orientation. So, as far as its intended function, it is centered.

Even though it is "just" a Ford Ranger, it's the top trim in that model range. For a $58k truck, I'm going to be a bit nitpicky. If this was a base level Ranger, I wouldn't care as much.

I am with you and the price paid or comparison to a Mercedes is not the point. Ford needs to return to a focus on quality. Fit and finish should be fairly simple at this point in the evolution of automobile manufacturing. Anything less is disappointing.

Even if the dealership entertains a warranty replacement, good chance the replacement is no better.

Also, increase cost does not = quality, just more stuff that can go wrong.

Order an aftermarket carbon fiber/leather wheel and call it a day! I plan on going the Alcantara/Leather route with flat bottom.

But yeah, stitch quality/alignment on the steering wheel and seats has not been very consistent. Curious where these are done and what the skill level is of the workers. Like most things these days, cheap labor wins out and it reflects in the quality.
