ProCal Tune for Ranger Raptors in California?

Has anyone found a reasonable place to get the tune installed in California? I've been quoted $300-450 labor in SF Bay Area.

Just know old stock units will not include a CARB sticker, you may have to get that from FP.

kinda new here so forgive my ignorance but will that be an issue if you bring it into a ford dealership or what exactly would be problem be with not having the CARB sticker on it?

You get state reffed, you need the sticker. At least that is my understanding.

Is your question more to the CARB approval front, or certified install with warranty? The tune has a CARB number, so when you buy one (new) it will come with the CARB number and (should be) a sticker you can place underhood in case you are ever questioned about having a tune.

For the warranty, it seems pretty well answered that the tune will NOT void the original Ford 3/36 warranty, however there is question about it voiding extended warranties. I am myself a little unclear If the requirement to have it installed by a dealer or cert tech is more for a warranty on the tuner device or if that is the only way to not void your original Ford warranty.

I know the calibration is CARB approved with a CARB number ( D-431-8 ). I'm just not sure exactly how the process goes of getting the sticker, being from Ohio.

Hmm good question, I called up the dealership to set up an appointment for installation sometime this week. They are doing it. The CARB thing I am not too worried about it. It is legal so I don't really care at this time.
