Mine was missing the voucher but Ford Performance got me one in hours of being notified. You'll love it.

Plugged it into my laptop to do the updates and is says registry error on the procal, have to call Ford in the morning, I guess. Talked to my dealer and they said they would charge my 15 minutes to do the download, benefits of a small town and buying all your fleet from them!

Install completed today by my local Ford Performance shop...$96 and they registered the warranty. Immediately noticed improvement in shifting and appears my mileage has improved (time will tell). Butt dyno approved. Very happy indeed.

That is a really decent price for a dealer. Its a great improvement. As far as I know from having the tune done by dealer on my '19 Lariat and an ASE Master Tech on my Raptor, the term registration is a little misleading. Logging in to a Ford Performance account (I have my own and used it both on both tunes doing all but the final step myself) and entering the voucher number ties the tune to your truck's VIN and the Procal tool which makes it impossible to use either for another vehicle and that is the only thing that amounts to a registration. Documentation that the tune was done by a dealer or an ASE is all that is required to have a valid warranty.

Friday I was at our tire/performance shop having a set of the KO3 installed on one of our company trucks and spoke to the owner an old friend that has had all the generation of Raptors including the Bronco. He has tuned them all and said it is impossible to brick them with factory tune. I also talked to Ford Performance and they said the one nice thing about Ford doing the upload is it is flagged in the system as tuned, anytime it is at the dealer after the fact the tech would know. I did find it interesting that the factory rep didn’t push having the dealer do it.

I have been having email exchanges with Ford Performance supervisor since before the tune for the 2.3 came out - very helpful. When my new tune came it had no voucher and one phone call to the tech line and I had another emailed in about an hour. Very impressed with their responsiveness and help. Not sure why dealer service would need to know if you were tuned and they know regardless (at least its what "they" say) it was a concern for those using third party tunes.

I’ve had my Procal for a couple months, I wanted to put some mileage on my pickup before installation, it now has 3100 miles.
I decided today to install the tune myself, I’ve read many posts on this forum, the Bronco forum, and other sites both pro and con regarding self installation. I also watched a video on YouTube by a Ford dealership GM, who installed a Procal himself on his vehicle.
All that aside, I’m not concerned about warranty issues, and I didn’t want to pay my local service department (quoted two hours) for the install.

It‘s very easy to do, it took just over an hour, I was very methodical, and I wanted to enjoy the process, as I like vehicle projects.
I drove a short loop after, but not far enough to get a good impression, but there is a noticeable difference, I’ll know more tomorrow. Also, the exhaust note in Sport mode sounds a little raspier in a good way

So far, I’m very pleased…

I don't think having a dealer install it in order to get the warranty is wasting my money. If there is anything I can do ahead of time to save either money or time, I'd like to do that...hence, the reason for my question. If I had the device in hand I might know more about the detailed instructions...I was just trying to get ahead of things so I can plan it out. I considered not asking this question for the very reason I would get this type of response. Anyone have any useful input?
I have the procal tuner in hand but have been waiting to break the truck in a bit. I now have 1600 miles and a dealership that will do the install. Im Anxious to see any positive input from this forum. I also suggest ignoring AlpineBike, as I've not read a single positive post yet from him.
I just press ignore to people like that
