I have not lifted her and not going to. It’ll be at the dealer tomorrow. Guess rear main seal or something in that space. Not sure what else it could be. Not seeing anything from the top side.

Smell of burning oil. Dripping and pressurized spray pattern on driver side from the axle area and across the cross member getting less as it goes to the passenger side.

6,600 miles. No hard use. Road miles and farm lanes.

Looks like I missed this with the flashlight last night. Can’t be rear seal.

Well this a dealer warranty item of sure, but in your shoes I would degrease the entire area with brake cleaner, blow it dry, and drive it again, that will show you better where it is coming from.

Please keep us posted.

Interesting, I wouldn't clean a thing. ^^ It's a brand new truck spraying oil, this ain't a classic with a drip. I'd leave it and let Ford figure it out. Keep an eye on the oil pressure. To me it looks to be in the area of a turbo which could be an oil feed line to the turbo.

My point was that knowing exactly where it comes from will help speed up a repair, Ford technicians are not the brightest. Anything to reduce the number of trips to the @#$&* dealer. My dealership experiences (with several new vehicles) have not been good.

It is in front of the turbo best as I can tell. I see one line in the vicinity of what I can can surmise seems to be where it may be coming from. But I also see a bolt too that looks suspect to me as being loose or with a gap that looks funky. My guess is one of those two places.

Could be a banjo bolt type of fitting, not sure on that. Regardless, I'd put the oil pressure front and center on the screen, and drive it straight to the dealer to figure out, let Ford own the liability. If the turbo fails, the engine is toast.

To clean or not to clean? Your point is well taken, but there's a reasonable argument to not clean.

I'd probably not clean it, but I won't argue that that is the best approach.

If it’s the V6 engine It’ll probably be the turbo oil return line from the turbo to the block. Common problem in Australia, I had mine replaced at 24000 kms (15000 miles) because it cracked an sprayed oil everywhere underneath. Made a mess and was replaced under warranty

There are dye additives that you can put in the oil, drive for a while, then use a UV light to find it.
That being said, that's Ford's job to find it.

It’s at the shop. My guess is that oil line. They’re currently diagnosing.
