Incorrect. 2024 were factory wired through a machined hole in the door and painted. 2024 and 2025 dealer installed one, is really a wireless remote with batteries that can't be replaced. The factory installed 2024 keypad and the dealer installed 2025 keypad are exactly the same. Only difference is 2024 was body color and installed at the factory. Both use a battery are neither is hard wired. They are the same keypad as the Bronco.
I had a 2023 Bronco and I have a 2024 Ranger Raptor. They both have a wireless keypad. Came with same master coarse card and same installation instructions both factory installed. My Bronco had to be changed out because dealer threw out code card and it cannot be retrieved like hard wired.Incorrect. 2024 were factory wired through a machined hole in the door and painted. 2024 and 2025 dealer installed one, is really a wireless remote with batteries that can't be replaced.
Not sure all wording is 100% accurate on window sticker. Here is a picture of master code card and it clearly has 902.75 MHz radio frequency on the card.Look at your factory window sticker.
Yes, 2024 Lariat and Raptor had active parking assist. What is Active Park Assist?Interesting. I clicked on the Parking button in the center console and it appears it only lead to a menu that lets you enable/disable the front/rear parking sensors. Did the 2024s have auto-parking capability? Also what do you mean by stubby little e-shifter?
Savings per vehicle savingsYes, 2024 Lariat and Raptor had active parking assist. What is Active Park Assist?
The stubby e-shifter was and electronic shifter that is shorter than the mechanical shifter. The electronic shifter was required for Active Park Assist.
In either case, not much of a loss and one less thing to go wrong. Also, the expense of an electronic shift transmission compared to a mechanical shift transmission is nuts, if you look at the cost of the transmissions.
If you don’t mind me asking; Where’s the dang button to activate it?Yes, 2024 Lariat and Raptor had active parking assist. What is Active Park Assist?

I have Park Assist in my '24, but with the mechanical shifter. I suck at parallel parking and use this feature. It works well.
When I first got my 24 RR I hated the short shifter. Now, it is one of my favorite things inside the truck. Very intuitive and very cool looking. I’m impressed with Ford engineer’s forward thinking. Two shifters are used in the Ranger. A short stubby e-shifter that is not all that intuitive to use, it's approximately 4 inches high. Best description I can give you is it is more like a computer mouse that an old school shifter. It has buttons on the side which puts you on manual mode, the release is on the front side. After a couple of weeks I now can get it into gear mostly of the first try but reverse is still or miss. The long handled shift is not electronic like the short one. Very easy to shift into any gear with out looking. For 2025 it appears only the Raptors get the e-shifter, lucky us Raptor owners. Never heard the reasoning behind the inclusion on Raptor.
I agree. I never quite understood why the e-shifter is hated so much. I get the difficulty in getting into gear vs a manual shifter but like anything else once you get used to it then it becomes natural. Time will tell if there are any problems down the road with it but so far I don't mind it.When I first got my 24 RR I hated the short shifter. Now, it is one of my favorite things inside the truck. Dude, it is time to stop arguing the point and just admit you're wrong. A guy in the thread linked below shows pictures of relocating his factory one from the door to the pillar. No wires and no holes.Incorrect. 2024 were factory wired through a machined hole in the door and painted. 2024 and 2025 dealer installed one, is really a wireless remote with batteries that can't be replaced.
Dude . Did you read the whole thread or just part of it. Did you read the post you quoted at all thats an older fifth gen ?? If you read this whole thread you can look back at my post in this thread. The one you posted doesn't say anything about factory. And if you look his is like mine not painted. The factory one is painted the 2024 is body matched. That's the difference. Take your time before you make a statement. Especially an inaccurate one.Dude, it is time to stop arguing the point and just admit you're wrong.
