I searched for a thread that covered the subject line above and found nothing, so I will start the one secret that I know of.

***Rolling the windows down remotely***

As you approach your truck, press the "unlock" button on your remote twice, holding the button down on the second press. A few seconds later, all windows will roll down if you continue to hold the button. I love this feature in the summer months to cool down the interior of my truck before I get in.

Okay...who's got the next tip, trick or secret for the group?

Tip... Anyone installing struts under the hood (to get rid of the stand), the Redline struts (available on Amazon) work quite well, and am having no issues. I first purchased some of the cheaper ones on Amazon... which use different mounting points than the Redline and they worked for crap! One of the struts actually kept popping back off, due to the mounting hardware shifting, no matter how hard I tightened the bolts. Worth the extra $$$ IMO.

A lot of us are supposed to have this feature, but it's missing. Brought it to my the dealer who confirmed my Lariat "has" the option, but it is missing and they couldn't reprogram it to work. I previously posted the reply from Ford Tech which suggested they try two options. If neither worked "inform the customer Ford is currently working on a fix.

Really? Huh...I can't remember if this was an option under the settings that I may have selected.

If you set your power mirrors to close automatically, when you lock the truck they will close and you can get a visual confirmation that you did indeed, lock the truck.

the visor will slide sideways to extend, handy if you move it over to block the sun from the side window.

although there is no 12 volt outlet in the bed, the connector underneath bed has 12 volt power, so it is possible to add it, somewhat easily

(still figuring out the most elegant solution for this)

the am/fm antenna that sticks up high above the cab can be replaced with stubby antenna or even just a bolt and cap if you don’t like radio stations

the key fob can be used to open or close all side Windows, but not the rear sliding window

edit: unlike every other car I’ve owned, the silver slider on the vent does not aim the vent side to side, it aims it up and down and controls the airflow.

there Is a little plastic funnel above the jack that allows you to pour gas in from a can

the ac outlets only work if the engine is running

you can put the center console display into dark mode permanently with a menu setting

you can wrap (or zip tie) the rear center seatbelt around the child restraint anchor point directly below it to get it out of the way when you fold the back seat down

its the square end of the jack extensions that goes into the hole (at an angle) to lower the spare tire

you only need to remove the rear two bolts on the skid plate under the oil drain plug, simply loosen the front two as the front holes are slotted

Install ceramic tint, like LLumar, on all the windows, including the windshield and factory tinted windows. The interior temps will be closer to ambient than oven, and your skin will thank you.

This is something that isn't mentioned too often, as most seem to satisfy themselves with their phones, somehow.

Formatting your USB drive for music playback:

1: Formatting the drive in EXFAT works fine.

2: Root>Artist>Album>Files

3: Name your album art cover.jpg, and include it in the Album folder with the music files.

4: FLAC files are supported, among others

I put the Redline hood struts on too. Work great, bought them because of good reviews on this forum.

I'm waiting for something like on an android tablet where you can unlock developer mode by tapping on the software version number 10 times. wonder if there's any kind of secret service menu in sync if you tap or hold buttons in a certain manner on the screen?
