I ordered my 2025 Ranger Raptor at the beginning of November 2024, still no build date. All I have is the order number. Ford promises updates every 45 days, but they have not sent one since March. I have been looking at other options or cancelling altogether. It is demoralizing seeing so many people order after me that already have theirs.
I have ordered mine in October of 2024 and I keep getting the run around from these guys. Its been allocated since then, they've been saying no update on the build for over 6 months and then gave me a partial VIN (which I didn't even know they did since all the other ford dealers in the area say they don't ever do that). I escalated it to the sales manager who initially said he would contact them and give me an update in a week, its now two weeks later and he's dodging my calls. I left a voicemail for the GM and am waiting to hear back. Crazy part is, I never got an order and priority number. For all I know these guys got the truck and sold it to one of their friends which I heard has happened. I'm even paying the whole thing in cash so you would think these guys would get on it.

I agree. Something is hinky. There's a point where it doesn't make sense to keep waiting, and instead start shopping for something that is actually available.

Yea I have been looking around. Im trying to start close and expand. I get run arounds from many dealers. They want mark ups or add a bunch of junk, which is just another markup. I'll get mine at MSRP (if I get it haha) so I refuse to pay more. This is only a want, not a need, so I'm patient with it. My F-150 Raptor is awesome and suffices in the meantime :).

That's what I did. I looked nearby and everything had a big markup, then I started looking nationally, and while I was doing that I lucked into one locally that was already on order and with no markups. So I jumped at that. The dealer said that they were getting calls from all over the west coast, people are having to look far away to avoid markups.

I found that a lot of the ones advertised as having a discount weren't actually at a discount, either because "the website is wrong" or because of add-ons. But there were quite a few dealers who seemed very straightforward and were selling at a good price, as long as you are ok either traveling or having it shipped to you.

Good luck!

Congrats and thanks man! I am looking a bit farther out now. I wanted to trade my Raptor to help with tax savings, but the longer this goes on I think I am just going to sell it outright.

Try smaller dealerships in more rural areas. I found mine 1100 miles away in a town of 3500 people. Got a discount with no add on. Great dealer and shipping was reasonable. Good hunting and don't pay MSRP. Reward the honest dealerships out there.

I ended up getting in touch with the GM and he was able to explain things in more detail so I understood the process a bit better. The GM has been emailing them every week with no response however he gave me a Ford customer service number that I was able to contact to get more details. They said the order is in processing and awaiting production schedule. The order is being held up by something and they cannot see what it is, the dealer has to call the technical assistance line in order to get that information. My order is pretty basic with added on mud guards and spray in bedliner which could be the cause. Right now I'm working with the GM to see what the issue is. If its the spray in bedliner I'm honestly going to freak out because I could have gotten the truck months ago and the dealer has a place nearby that does the spray which my sales rep initially told me they would do if that was the case. Good news is that I may qualify for a rebate/certificate from Ford for the extended wait which I'll get a follow up on next week.

Rather sounds like you're being fed excuses.

Has anyone with a production date in the first week of June taken delivery yet? Heck, have any of you even gotten an update since the fabrication date?

I have an August 4th Build Week. If anything was going to change, would it have by now?

Once it’s on the schedule, it’ll likely stay there (as far as you’re concerned). From what I’ve seen, transparency with your order isn’t real high on Ford’s priority list.

So, I figured out how to get Information on my order.

go to Ford.com and then scroll all the way to the bottom and click on some tiny little link that says “Contact us”. From there you can go into a chat. The first thing you do is tell the AI chat bot that you want a real person. They’ll send you to a real person who will then either help you or give you a phone number to talk to a human being.

In my case, The person on the chat told me that scheduled delivery was 6/26/25. they Then transferred me to marketing and CSR then looked it up, only to tell me that my truck was delivered to a dealership 481 miles from my dealership in Iowa. He then gave me the number to that dealership.

More to come tomorrow, when that Ford dealer is open.

OMG. Your dealer couldn't tell you that? I feel for you. I can't wait to hear the update tomorrow. Good luck and hopefully your dealer will send a flat bed to pick it up. You don't want 500 miles on it when you pick it up. I have just about heard it all. Wow. Best of luck tomorrow.
