I still want to know why some owners received recall notices while most of us didn't. I did another recall search using my vin# and it still shows no recalls for my Ranger.

When my service was finished yesterday, the Service Tech told me the support failed and they would order the parts and repair my truck which would be covered by the recall. When I post the copy of my service order you will see that it is covered under a recall.

It looks like this was a customer satisfaction program 23P22. It says it ends 7/31/25. It says it covers installation for trucks that purchased ford accessory bed cap. I don't know if trucks without that will be covered, I guess they won't. I'm going to call my dealer Monday. Look up the CSP and read it.

Just spoke to service rep from my dealer. He said the free j-brace install is only for people who purchased a Ford accessory bed cap. Since I don't have one I don't qualify for the brace install.

This only applies to people who purchased " a Ford Licensed Accessory Bed Cap (VR1WZ-99501A42AA/AB/AC/AD/AE/AF/AG/AJ/W/C) through their Ford dealership"

Thanks Massman. I checked that post and the diagram attached. I think I have the newer structure (rounded corners) so I'm good. Actually crawled underneath the truck and took pics (attached).

Also, your comment about Marcotte Ford made me nostalgic. I lived in Chicopee MA for a number of years. Loved my time there!
