I wonder if we can take off that curtain airbag and add a grab handle for getting in amd out of the truck? :)

And no fix yet. All orders and stock are put on hold and can't be sold until they are fixed. Could be months.
Anything built July 30th on had the fix during assembly.

Everything still works it's just that it doesn't meet the code.

They have a fix though, its the piece of metal they are installing, or am I not understanding your statement.

Oh, I'm glad I didn't do the electric window recall yet. Just let all the recalls build up and then do them all at once. ;)

I guess I misread. The Ford Pass app says "Parts are not available"

Placed my order for an XLT back on April 14th.

My order finally hit the rail today!!

And of course mine was built before July 30th, so my Ranger gets to sit on the dealer lot until late December now. Ugh lol

🙃

All of my Jags have been a waaaaaaaaaay better initial quality and ownership experience. 🤣
I had a Jag and it was by FAR the worst car I've ever owned. Never again. lol

Then you must have some pretty recent Jags as they were almost unbelievably bad when I was a younger man. Pretty much had to stop for repairs about every other tank of fuel...
I have been really blessed I suppose then as my Ranger has been pretty good.

Could care less. Truck has been a blast to drive. If they fix it,fine. If not, that’s ok too.
You could? What would cause you to care less, and how much less would you care?

Personally, I couldn't care less, but I'm curious about your thoughts.

Maybe he has jags after ford bought them? I know what you are saying about how terrible jags are for always having trouble. Thats from before ford took them over

I have been buying Ford since 1985. Lots of them; cars, SUVs, trucks. I have been waffling over keeping my 2021 Ford F150 Lariat FX4 with the 3.5L Ecoboost that I love or trading for a 2026 smaller truck that is easier to get into and out of, drive around, and park, since I am old now and the full size is not meeting my needs anymore. I owned two Rangers before moving up to a previous F150 FX4 in 2010, and had zero problems with my 1996 or 2003. I test drove the 2025 phony truck Maverick, really an urban utility vehicle IMO, and it is not well equipped for the money with too many recalls. My wife hates it, and she drives a 2024 Escape Hybrid, same unibody. I like the 2025 Ranger even without the Supercab option or long bed but these safety recalls are worrisome. Ford's quality has declined significantly, repeating the 1970s and 1980s, this time pushing not ready for prime time tech, bad engineering and manufacturing not always Ford's fault but it is their Blue Oval, as if buyers are lab rats. My current truck has recalls, as well. I suppose I will hold on to what I have for now but I must downsize soon, possibly waiting until the RAM Dakota comes out to see what engine they are using in it or looking elsewhere. I appreciate extended warranties etc. but I really do not want to have to use them. I like my dealership but not that much. Just my opinion.
I just did what your contemplating by trading in my 2016 lariat, 3.5l in July. Tough decision and thinking long and hard on it is best they aren't selling them for pocket change. I just didn't need a full size anymore. My F150 had 5-6 recalls on it but it does seem that recalls are just the norm anymore, so I get you there! So far, knock on wood, I like the truck it's kind of a mini me F150, actually rides better than my F150 ever did, both 4x4. I got the 2.3l so gas mileage alone helps, averaging without trying 5-6 mpg better than the 3.5l and has plenty of power for me by comparison.. It still hauls my 6-800 pounds of feed without even blinking at it. I looked at Nissan, Chevy etc... but I guess I'm just a die hard Ford guy. Still have a 1991 ranger, my Son still driving my old 1996 explorer 5.0l AWD with over 300000 on it but I got wild hair and put a 5.0L V8 out of a 1992 GT mustang in the Ranger for grins and giggles! Good luck to you in your decision!

I'm old enough to remember when I lived through the 80's 90's and 2000's

without side airbags
I'm old enough to remember when you only had lap belts which weren't mandatory to wear and people still ran around in the back of pickups for fun, gun racks with rifles in them were normal occurrence especially in the country and we drank out of water hoses. Yep I'm still here despite all those "dangers" LOL!
