Cool FYI for Apple Watch owners...

Ford Pass (FP) app is available on Apple WatchOS once connected via iPhone iOS.

Another convenient option to access FP functionality w/o 'holding' an iPhone [see pics below].
> Simply add FP app in WatchOS then select 'My Faces' and add to 'Complications.
> Provides a plethora of options on where and how FP may be displayed like any other app on the watch face.

Examples - FP on Apple Watch:

Ford Ranger FordPass & Apple Watch Untitled - 1 of 1
Ford Ranger FordPass & Apple Watch Library - 2 of 5

Ford Ranger FordPass & Apple Watch Library - 3 of 5
Ford Ranger FordPass & Apple Watch Library - 4 of 5
Ford Ranger FordPass & Apple Watch Library - 5 of 5

Thats super cool. Actually, really super cool. Controlling your truck with your watch is crazy to think of

I dont use any of those smart watches but that is awesome. I have an old gshock that does email and messages and tracks everything in the world, ha ha ha. I hate having to keep plugging watches in so the gshock works great since its solar and if you have to charge it, its only once a month.

Didn't realize it offered that functionality. Im often running, surfing, kitesurfing, etc... and prefer not to bring a phone or keys (but I do wear my watch). This is really handy for those situations, particularly if it lets me leave the keys locked in the truck. Just need to avoid running my watch battery down too much! Going to play around with it now.

That's amazing and the perfect solution when I go paddle boarding or scuba diving! Thank you for the tutorial. I've already set it up and tested it. It works perfectly.

Another consideration...an Apple Watch with it's own wireless service allows for 'independent', unlimited, FP app access, and distance away from iPhone; otherwise, watch is limited to bluetooth signal constraints.

I use the watch for garage door opener app when out-n-about w/o iPhone like at near-by park and such...works great 🤘

Another idea for you is the keypad; it’s not expensive and is just stuck on with 2-sided tape. If you don’t like the look, mount it on the inside of your gas filler door. The keypad allows you to lock your keys in the car while you exercise or whatever. I use the ford pass app on my watch but it’s nice to know that I can still get back into my truck if I don’t have a cell signal.

And an FYI to any Samsung phone users that aren't aware; it's been available for Wear OS since fall of '24

I've been using the Ford Pass app on my Apple watch since last fall. One thing to beware of is relying on it in areas of low to no cell service. Use the optional keypad as backup.

I like to walk the dog at the lake and lock my phone and keys in the truck as I don't like to carry stuff.

For a time you could set up SIRS. SHORTCUTS with an iPhone. You had lock/unlock, run/shutdown, where is my truck, what is my oil life and about 4 other functions. It stopped working about a month ago, Very handy, I wish it still worked.

Apple "Shortcuts" still exists with functionality you noted..
Have a look at this recent Post.
