Happy to help! I am very happy with the fitment and look. There is enough of a step for me to reach around the roof when washing, and grabbing things off the roof of the topper as well.

What angle did you get? Seems like 20° is best for protection but not for stepping.

What angle did you get? Seems like 20° is best for protection but not for stepping.

I have 20 degrees. It gives me enough of a step to get the ball of my foot on the slider, but 5 degrees would be better as a step. I wanted maximum protection and am ok with not having a larger step.

Definitely, they are around 75lbs a side. Does anyone know what the factory side steps weigh?

according to my bathroom scale, about 28 lbs, so yeah, def heavier

At this point folks I can’t recommend RCI. They talk a good game but I was just told today (after I inquired about it) that I can’t get the front skid plate I originally purchased on October 1st for at least two more weeks. They over promise and under deliver. I’m starting to regret my purchase at this point. Buyer beware.

Sorry to hear about your delay. What was the original time they quoted you? Because the website shows an estimate of 1-3 weeks for steel and 4-6 for the aluminum. Which did you get?

I ordered the full set of aluminum on October 1st. I called to make sure the front skid was the correct fit and was assured it was the correct kit without a 2 inch gap and was told it was in stock and would ship that week. I got the wrong front skid and was told it would be about 2 weeks to get the correct front skid plate to me but since the order was wrong the first time, I would be priority. That was around October 7th. Today, after zero followup I emailed. 12 hours after that I got an email saying they can’t cut the aluminum now because they’re doing a run of steel so I need to wait “about another 2 weeks”.

Maybe just the way Business are run, not keeping over head. Just behind manufacturing.
I ordered the slightly lighter Rocky Road sliders. They mount on to the nut's in the edges of the floor pan and you have to drill holes into the pinch weld seams. Very strong mounting points.
I knew to ask them what their lead time is. They said 8 to 10 weeks. That is ok for me. My ordered XLT has just arrived at the dealership. I am hoping these sliders stick out far enough to at times protect the doors from dings. I asked about coupon codes. Through that inquiry they gave me $100 USD off.
I think its useful to have the step at the back to access the roof.
