After almost 2 years/ 60,000 KMS this truck has been far below expectations. My longest stretch between warranty claims was just over 90 days, mechanical issues, build quality issues, and endless electrical issues seem to be the main reasons it went in. The latest joy is the collision avoidance system likes to activate while doing highway speeds on empty roads, I fear this thing going off when someone is behind me. The endless parking sensor failures in cold weather that Ford claims are faulty sensors but none of the sensors they install work, now the infotainment screen likes to power down couple times a day.

I am pretty sure I'm the recipient of a very early production build as my truck was delivered end of March 2024, I assume this is the root cause of my lemon but its been very frustrating to own a truck I had such high expectations for. After 16 years of driving new Fords this will be the last one, I think I'll risk the new tundra motor. Rant over

Have you considered a different dealer? Sounds like a nightmare, but you could always be trading one issue for another with a new car.

Damn that sucks mate! I figure you don’t have any lemon laws or buy back options where you are? Sounds like you 100% got a lemon or an incompetent dealer/service department

20 years ago I went through the same with my '03 2500HD. Had enough and at 36 months and 45k miles, it was traded. Never have been back with a GM product. In '23, my '17 F150 needed an intake manifold assembly. 1,400+ on national back-order. Got a tip that a dealer in Chattanooga that had two in stock. Called and they would not sell "over the counter." I was pissed at Ford and bought two other vehicles since then. Now, I have an RR because I like the truck--not necessarily the brand. There's only so many options and I've realized problem-free, long-term ownership is a thing of the past.

You like playing with fire if you switch to the Tundra. I lost all interest in Toyota after the Tundra engine debacle. The Tacoma has had it's share of quality issues also. You may want to consider RAM, hard to believe I feel that way but they have a lot less recalls than Ford, GM or Toyota .
I would try to get Ford to do a buy back or replacement. Good luck.

Thanks guys, it seems finding a truck that can even make it to the end of its warranty cycle is becoming harder than I ever imagined. I've always ran new trucks every 2-3 years to avoid the down time, the ranger made it 2500kms before it started its quarterly cycle into the dealership.

As for the Tundra, I'm curious if the 2026 engines should have the recalls sorted. As crazy as it is, the 2025 Tundras have the least amount of recalls out of the batch of full size trucks
