My issue with this (and the F150 Raptor) is that they're just so damn big. I ride a lot of trails out here in the West, and most of the good ones just don't fit something this wide.

I run with one guy who drives full size rigs, but they tend to be much older 1990s trucks that weren't a lot bigger than the current crop of mid-sizers.

This right here is no joke. The reality is that an F-150 from 2003 is almost exactly the same size as a current generation Ranger.

Yea, I had a New TRX back in 2021, I owned it for just short of 4 years , great truck, loved everything about it but the size, would love to see a midsize twin to the TRX in a Dakota with a 392 v8 NA motor.
That would be my dream truck these days.
Also use to have a viper truck as well.
‘I have no issues at all with Dodge or Ram products,
Heck 4 of the 6 vehicles in my personal stable right now are still Dodge or Ram vehicles.
Can’t say I am not at least tempted to order another TRX , but would rather have a 392 Glatiator or maybe a 392 Dakota if they ever offer one.

I'm with ya, brother. As I've discussed in another thread, Jeep has been good to me. I owned a Dakota 5.2 back in the day and it was great, too. Really liked to get sideways in the rain!

Size is a killer. Even my regular 1500 without any widebody nonsense going on, I just wouldn't take it some places because I didn't want to deal with it. Probably a few times a year, I just straight up drove on past a place because I didn't want to deal with parking.

Reality is, if you can afford and get personal value out of having a weekend toy, who cares that it can't fit anywhere, isn't road legal, doesn't work all the time, is always in pieces, whatever. Ultimately I realize that I just don't drive enough and don't have the time/hobby commitment to want to do that. So it's hard for me to justify the other Raptors or a TRX. Happy the RR exists. I wish more vehicles were enthusiast type but daily friendly.

Curios what were you doing with it, I am really not sure what would make one get 6mpg, maybe towing a lot of weight?

‘I had one for 4 years never saw Les then 9 mpg and that was towing a pretty heavy trailer.
My average mpg was almost always between 11-13mpg, not great but not that much worse then my RRs at 15-16mpg doing the same sort of task on same roads same speeds etc.

I had just a Rebel with the normal Hemi and the fuel mileage sucked in it and wasn't really any place around here to use it to it's full potential that why I got the Ranger way better daily driver.

Just driving it like I stole it. Never towed anything with it. 2021 bought new. Didn't keep it long.

I do wish Ford would offer a color pallet more like the TRX.
There are some pretty cool looking colors.

I really like this green .

There is a Red version, still shocked Ford dropped Red from the RR.

This orange is pretty cool looking too.

The dark blue is just ok, I think fords blue is sharper,

The rest are pretty much staples in most brands and models.

Oh I agree , I really love the Rangers, they really are perfect daily driver trucks.
‘Would really love to see Ford put a little more focus on Ranger content / options.

The new TRX has some luxury features I would love to have in my RRs .
‘Like not only heated seats but also cooled and massaging seats.
Sunroof, rear seat vents , super cruise , just to name a few, that I saw were included on the new TRX.

That super cruise and those Massaging seats were both new features, I had the rest on my 21 TRX.
