Edited after confirming my suspicions. 2025 on top, 2026 on bottom. Bolt-on style tonneau cover rails for 24-25 will float in the air over the shorter rail caps on a 26.

I would caution anyone taking delivery of a '26 to wait on purchasing a cover before tonneau suppliers can confirm updates/fitment.

Until someone has a 26 in person and confirms this, it's speculation.
That's my '26 in the photo... took delivery yesterday. Spent three hours trying to get the cover I pulled off my '25 to fit before I started getting suspicious.

thanks for the clarification. The images were so blurry I thought they were screenshots from something. Interesting change.

oh man, those look way better then the thick plastic ones we got. and i bet its to allow toppers and racks to fit better and probably do have less water leaks now

I do think it looks better. But I have $3k in tonneau paperweights now

I emailed Bak to see if it's on their radar, and there's any opportunity to get new hardware without replacing the whole covers (I have both hard & soft from them for different purposes).

Ford really wants the aftermarket to work for it. Didn't the 25 also have a slightly different rail cap vs the 24?

it might be a good thing because I think there might have been space under the old one that would make it weaker for supporting weight

Did they change then
channeling on the top of the rail? It always seemed odd that the path for exitting water was toward the bed in the old style rail.
