We got 6-8" while further south where I went to help clean up at my folks' was closer to 20"

45 deg here and hasn't stopped raining for about 20 hours.

Im in Nassau county, Long Island.
About 16inches of snow, but the Drift made it worst. (added a foot or so)
It was up to my hip, when I went to get the snowblower in our backyard, lol

For perspective…its a stock 24 Ranger Raptor and Subaru outback in pic has 2in lift.

holy cow!!! i have never seen snow like that in person. the most i have ever seen was getting caught in a storm in big bear california one winter and it was over my ankles. they closed the roads for a day or two so we got stuck up there

I remember when I was a kid on March break with my parents in Myrtle Beach and they got like a inch, closed all the roads. State trooper pulled us over and said roads were closed. We told him we were Canadian and he laughed and told us have a nice day and away we went.

ha ha ha. thats here in south texas. a lot of rain and stuff starts closing, ha ha ha. work and school shuts down if there is a storm with lots of rain and wind. not even hurricane level and they start telling people to leave the coast.

its crazy. i have surfed hurricanes worse then they tell people to leave for down here

Closed the roads for snow up to your ankles?! Were you standing on your head when you measured? (edit to complete the question that was cut-off...)

When I was at Fort Jackson South Carolina in December 1969 we had 3" of snow and the fort and the city of Columbia closed down.
