Man, was reminiscing about some old times. I used to own a GTR and a sunny ute.

Having the GTR was a blast. Met my wife when I had it. She'd never admit it, but I'm sure rollin' up in it had something to do with the marriage. I sold it for a huge chunk of change. It furnished our entire life. That GTR did a lot more than zooming through mountains. Respected it more than a car.

My sunny was a sad situation. I never posted what happened over on the Ratsun forums. I bought this ute and I was restoring it. I gutted it and took it to a body shop to have it repainted. The scammers stripped it and scuffed it and skipped the state, leaving the transmission and engine filled with water. Huge loss. Insurance paid out, though.

These are memories that will stay with you forever. Those are both absolutely awesome cars, dream cars! Took me back to my big turbo 86 Mustang SVO, loved that thing but sold it when we had kids. The ones that got away....

As a car guy, yes I think about them a lot. I even have reoccurring dreams, they're always at my Mom's house where I grew up in my teen years, and it had a big concrete driveway and a 2 car carport so in the dream I'm always out there with some of my early cars like the 1965 3/4 ton Dodge truck, or the 1964 Barracuda or the 1969 AMC Rebel.

In my young adulthood I had a Cutlass then graduated to a 1969 442 convertible which I drove for 12 years, 2 engines and 3 transmissions. Sold it in 45 minutes for twice what I paid for it and I missed that car for many years. Used the money to put down on my first house.

Last fall I sold my mint 2002 4x4 Superduty 7.3 diesel and bought the ranger. I like the Ranger but boy do I miss the Superduty. I wish I had a big warehouse for a garage, I'd keep them all. I'm kind of like Jay Leno but without the money.

And there is many other things to have fun with, too. Never know, maybe another SVO falls in your lap for a good price, too.

Have you seen the restorations on the 3/4 dodges? Modded with the charger engines. What a king of a truck man.

I'm not gonna lie, getting my Ranger felt good. I didn't feel like I was dragging my feet to buy something. Still keeping the memories, but it wasn't like having to sell the dream cars to buy a civic....

Then again... there might be room for a Civic in a future collection lol

I think about many but my 1969 C/10 Chevy was the favourite. I replaced the 6 cylinder 3 on the tree with a 327 with solid lifter camshaft. Behind that a Muncie M22 rock crusher 4 speed and Hurst competition plus shifter.
I lost count of the number of big block Mopars I embarrassed with that truck.
I owned it from the late seventies to mid eighties when street racing was a common thing.
I've owned over 50 cars and trucks and numerous motorcycles but I miss that truck the most.

Yes! This was my 1st brand new car. Bought it when I was 19 years old in 1988. A foxbody 88 LX 5.0 Notchback. Wish I still had it but I didn’t know what I had back then….I mean I did, but I didn’t.

Like many of you, I had one that I still think about. I ordered and bought a 1979 Z28 in May 1979. After two years, I had to sell it. About 5 years ago, I learned that the guy who bought it still owns it.

He now lives an hour away, but he let me come by to see it. He has stored it since the 1990s in a nice barn. He only put 4,000 miles on it since he bought it. Other than being dusty and musty, it's in great shape. Yes, I tried to buy it back, but he "has plans for it." I check back every year, so he knows he has a sucker on the hook!

These are my previous vehicles. I was a Subaru guy at the start and then went to Honda and now Ford. My 2005 WRX was my baby and I did all the mods I could to it. I put over 250K miles on it. The 92 Legacy was the old man sleeper car I wanted to build but never really pursued it. The 2005 STI was a track car and sucked to daily drive. I sold it not long after purchasing it.

The 2005 Element was a great vehicle. So much storage and room inside. Super reliable and just a good overall car. My 2010 Fit was the car to hold me over while my first Maverick was being built. I made it into an auto-x/twisty road car. I loved that car. Reliable and super fun to drive. I would get another Fit in the future. I actually sold that car to a friend and he K swapped it.

Then the Mavericks. My first was a 2022 XLT 4K Lux. Great little truck. It did everything I needed and was a fun turbo AWD machine. I was missing the Lariat features and when Ford showed the 2025 with the bigger screen and Eruption Green I knew I needed one. I picked up the 2025 Lariat on 1/17/25 and was super happy with it. It was everything my 2022 was but with nicer features. There was a hiccup with the PTU on the 2025 but Ford fixed it and the truck was good until the day I traded it for my 25 RR.

Yeah, I want my '88 Chevy Van back as I traded it with 45k miles in '93 while stationed at Fort Hood. Did all the interior myself. Probably trashed, rusted-out, and sitting in a scrap yard now.

Sure, think about my old cars more than my old girlfriends...

There were the two 2008 Corvette's, coupe and convertible
2008 Dodge Viper
2 -1970 Chevy shortbed C10's
1969 Camaro SS
1970 Dodge Super Bee
1969 Dodge Charger
1971 Dodge Charger
1965 Nova SS
2 -1968 Pontiac Firebird's

I'm sure there's more, been at it for a while.
