Not directly related to this discussion, but can I ask you guys about Ford picking up and dropping off your car? I feel like I hear everyone saying their dealer does this!

Is it true? Do you pay extra? Is it part of Ford warranty or is it case by case for each dealer?
Used that service many time, from routine oil change and maintenance, state inspection, and wheel alignment. They pick it up from my work, and return it before it's time for me to leave.
My service manager at the dealer said that Ford MC encourages this type of customer service.
But I think there is a range limit. I don't think they will drive 50 miles to pick up your vehicle.

I think the quality of the dealer makes all the difference in the world. I brought my truck (2025 2.7L Lariat) in for a routine scheduled service and got all three then outstanding recall items resolved in about 4 hrs. When I made the service appointment, they delayed it by a day to ensure all the parts were at the shop and ready to go.

That's good to know! And the mileage limit is fine with me - I have 3 Ford dealers within 20 miles of me haha

My airbag recall went fine, the dealership I purchased the truck from had one tech handle all the recalls I watched through the window at the service department and he didn’t have to remove the whole headliner.

I had a separate issue with a mis-formed factory door panel o my wife’s 2025 to which I ended up with a scratch in the paint by the door hinge. I showed the salesman which irritated him it happened. I touched it up myself because I didn’t want them to attempt after scratching it. Albeit a small one, still irritated the you know what out of me.

Trying to make this short. In all my years of owning Ford vehicles, I have never had this many recalls and updates. First recall for side airbag and trailer module update was a total nightmare Brought truck into dealership and that was the first mistake. Took all day from 8 am until they dropped it off after 6 pm. Black finger prints all over headliner and deep gouge in side pillar along with a gouge in the door panel drivers side. Took it in the next morning with photos and after getting the run around the General Manager agreed it was there fault. Three weeks later the parts finally showed up and we're installed. Only saving grace for them was they got me a rental car for the three days it took to fix the job along with a complete ceramic coat inside and outside detail. Then they called and wanted to do another recall and update. No thanks, I took it to another dealership about forty miles away. Tie will tell if that dealership is reliable and a little more cautious with my truck. Needless to say my wife is done with Fords. She was looking at the Broncos and the Explorers but after all this nope. Sorry for the long rant
I had a used Acura (100K miles on it) that was drinking oil. They had a recall on the piston rings - yes the rings, so they wanted to replace all the pistons and rings. But this was only after having to prove that it was needing oil added every month over a period of time. I declined as it would have just surfaced other issues and I wasn't planning on keeping it. My neighbor had a new engine put in her hybrid - not sure the model.

Just finally had the airbag recall done on mine.

Ford service writer told me they have one specific technician that does this particular recall and he has done over 50 of them.

Ford driver is on his way now to bring it back to me

I’m going to go over it in great detail to make sure none of the above happen
Ya, I waited and then asked the same thing and they said they had one person doing that recall so I felt good about having it done. Earlier in the day, I took an interior and exterior video in case something went wrong but all was good.

I just had the airbag recall done. It went flawlessly and was as clean as when I dropped it off. I decided while they had my truck I would have the oil and filter changed. Also, I was given a loaner which was appreciated as I had a few errands I needed to complete. I have been with this dealer for almost 40 years and have always been treated with great service.

I just picked up my truck from the dealer for the seat recall.
I asked about the A Pillar wiring and was told they run a test on the harness and if it fails then replacement. Also a software up date as you mentioned.
They are concentrating on the 2025's first but now Ford has put everything on hold for now.
You are correct not parts availability.

I had mine in yesterday for the seat bolt & wiring harness up to the visor issue, while they did the seat bolt they couldn't do the wiring recall # 26S29 the note on the printout they gave me said this;
"Tech unable to perform recall at this time as fix is not available as per FMC-
Release expected on /around 7/24/26''

The other two recalls, trailer module & infotainment were done OTA while in my driveway.
