Can the shift points while in sport mode be adjusted with forescan or whatever?
I would like for the trans to shift into 8th at 60mph. At present it will shift to 8th at 62 mph. I know it's kinda picky but. I like to run the cruise at 60 and be in 8th gear with a little less rpm. If u go to manual at 60 and shift to 8th then back to D it will stay there (unless there is a hill etc) but that's an extra move I don't want to make.

A tuner would be the only ones who can do it.

If you’re only cruising why not just put it back into normal mode?

I’ve never used Cruise control while in sports mode - kinda defeats the purpose of sports mode??

You never know when you want those settings again, and while I don't use it often, I think the truck stays in sport mode between starts, while the rest prompt or go back to normal after a shutdown.

Edit: Also, cooler looking guage cluster to some folks. I kinda prefer baja.

I’ve had an odb tool hooked up and watched fuel consumption and at 60, 10th gear is the most efficient way to go.

occasionally I put sport mode into cruise, more to limit speed. I’ll have to look the next time I’m at 60 but I think it is in 8th at that speed?

Because it will shift into 10th gear with about 1300 rpm. Engine is "lugging".
I use sport to keep the rpms up. I don't like it shifting to 10th at 40 mph.....

I get >22 mpg using sport mode, 87 Oct gas. I don't have to drive interstate much.

I get a message on start up asking if I want to stay in sport. If I don't answer yes it will go back to normal.

it will hold 10th gear down that low of an rpm but to shift accelerating, it is a higher rpm

i don't believe you ever really lug the engine as it will shift down automatically.

‘’it’s not like a manual transmission

It also depends on how much throttle you give.

at 60 mph I can get get 28 mpg real world.

i drive sport mode at times too, but there is really nothing wrong with standard either.

I have only used sport mode and always will. I never liked the way Ford transmission drive in normal. My previous car was a fusion sport, fun car lots of power and trans sucked in normal. Constantly hunting for gears. In sport drove almost like a dual clutch, nice firm shifts and quick downshift when stoping or slowing. My Ranger is close to the same in sport. I also have the ford performance tune, run 93 and make between 22-23 average. Have made 26-27 on longer highway trips.
