I got the Ford Ranger Raptor wheels in for my 2026 Ford Ranger XL. The truck came with steelies painted gloss black. The steelies have chrome lug nuts. The new wheels are kinda of a gun metal gray.

I can re-use the factory lug nuts but I am not sure that is going to look the best. Does anyone have the same or similar wheels? Did you use the factory chrome lug nuts or did you opt for a different color like black or gun metal gray?

I appreciate your thoughts.

For the sake of your future self or your mechanic, I would highly recommend that whatever you do, you switch to 1pc lug nuts and not the 2pc capped design that Ford uses. They're known to swell over time (so common in the industry, not just Ford, that some of the tool companies are now selling 17.5, 19.5, 21.5mm sockets) and can become a huge PITA to remove.

Depending on what the rest of your truck looks like trim wise, either stick with the chrome or go to black. I've had great luck with Gorilla Auto brand lug nuts on a lot of my vehicles. I'm running chrome lugs because I have the factory chrome wheels still and my truck has the chrome package

This! They failed badly on my '12 Focus, and when I had the 5G I took preventive measures and bought black one-piece lug nuts. They also looked sooooo much better. I will likely replace mine on the 6G before I get too many miles on it.

It's "splined" vs the more traditional hex, mainly it allows the nuts/driver tool to be made more narrow but still strong have tool engagement. The possible more important part is each nut is one single solid piece, not a thin pot metal cap wrapped around a harder core(where the threads are) the Gorilla just instantly feel and look higher quality than the OEM lug nuts. I looked for them because of all the great reviews including long term reviews
The truck has acorn style and these are spindle. Any issues?

Gorilla has them in black but they are spindle style

Yep, that's what I did before I picked up my XLT with the dark gray wheels. Had the dealer install black solid piece lug nuts. Looks much better than the chrome.

I thought about calling it "What color are your nuts" but opted for decorum. Although decorum is overrated and not too much fun.
