2.7L noisy start up

Does anyone else have a loud ticking / rattling noise on cold start up?

Mine is pretty noisy but quiets down quickly, I always attributed to the direct injection. The transmission is the noisiest thing once everything has settled down to low idle.

It's the notorious cam phasers going bad...

The computer holds the waste gate open a bit so you don't have boost at high idle. Once the idle drops, the gate closes and stops making noise.

Since the first day I drove it home....they say it's normal...I hate it. Doesn't sound like an almost 60k truck

I know ,I might have to get some loud exhaust to cover it up

In my experience most turbo engines sound like an old tractor when idling.
