The Chat has been wrong on so many levels during my experience. I got better information from Ford Marketing Program Headquarters at (800) 334-4375 which are human beings instead of the Chat Bot.
At least on my end, Ford Marketing can't provide anything new versus two weeks ago.
"In Production" as of 3/12, which is/was my blend date.
Scheduled update for 3/25, which has passed and nothing new.
Same info from dealer...the screenshot of their system they sent me had TBD everywhere.
So it's built...and sitting somewhere in Michigan, only 3hrs from my dealer.

Me too, same build week. No updates since 3/12. Ford chat says secondary produced and no tracking info but eta is 4/8-4/14. Well, it wasn’t 4/8, 9, 10, 11, 12, or 13. Maybe Jim Farley is driving it down to Mississippi on Sunday.

Apple maps now has that feature too.
I didn't realize I even had that app, looked on app store and it said open and found it burried on one of the back pages of my IPhone - DOS! Will have to find it on the truck.

Head scratcher - if you specifically order RWD you would think Ford would realize you have no intensions of going off road. So why not give you some nice radials instead of these Goodyear Wrangler AT tires? These slightly contribute to road noise.
He got the Rear Locker which indicates some other than just street/highway driving. I'd change then out for Michelin Defender TX if this were my new 4x2. That's what i did on my2019 Ranger. Now waiting on the 2.7TT enbine availability before doing a Custom Order.

Does your RWD Ranger have Slippery Mode as a drive mode?
Mine does. I did order the locking differential. Not sure if that changes the modes available, but I guess it could. I have to use the trailer steering knob to select drive modes on mine. The button set just has Auto Start Stop, Dif lock, and TC off.

I think all the 4x2s come with AT tires, which surprise me a bit. My 4x2 '21 Ranger had HTs, which were a better fit. When my AT's wear out, I'll replace them with a street tire.

You are correct - and that's what my dealership told me. There is no opt out of AT tires. When they wear out I will also go to street radials.

Not like the AT's are really aggressive. I have the Lariat FX4 and the Goodyear Wrangler Territory AT aren't anywhere near what I had on my Rebel(Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac's)

While I’m waiting for some unknown “pending update”, would one of you fortunate Lariat owners share some insight on the driver door storage compartment? I’m particularly interested whether it will hold a 12.9” iPad. It fits perfectly in my ‘12 FX, but terrible in the ‘17 F150 at the office. Sorry for the mundane request. But y’all remember how it is in the waiting room, right?

Now that I have the Lariat in my driveway and all the drama is over for me - let me share my experience.

Note - This was a retail buy with an Xplan pin given to me by my friend (retired - Ford executive)

The two coupon codes did not work for me so no further discount.

Xplan price $45012.76

Delivery charge $75

Florida sales tax $2705.66

Florida County Tax $50

Title & 2 year Registration $170.45

Lemon Law Fee $2

Lead acid battery fee $1.50

New tire fee $5

Extended Service Contract 8 years\100,000 miles $3970

Full Maintenance Contract 8 years \ 100,000 miles $3215

Sales Tax on the two contracts $502.95

Total turn key drive away $55,710.32

Note – and this is just my own opinion. I’m so glad I took the chance and ordered the Sandstone interior instead of Black. When you open the door, it is nice and light and the contrast of the Sandstone and black accents are really elegant. If I had ordered black it would have been one huge black hole when you open the door. Again, this is just my own opinion.

First driving impressions - two minor gripes; the navigation (I used Google maps via Apple Play) got confused and missed a turn. Probably not Ford's fault. The other slight gripe was highway noise was there but minimal. As others said they could have done a better job sound proofing the windows. That said, this truck is solid and flawless so far. In hindsight, if I was to do this over again, I wouldn't have ordered the safe because it is small. I was under the impression that if you ordered the safe in the console it was small and if you ordered it under the rear seat, it would be large enough to lock a rifle in . . . nope, same size as console so kinda useless. I also think that since I ordered RWD and never intend on going off road I wasted money on the locking differential. Note, I had ordering remorse after the fact that I didn't buy the integrated box steps but now that I see it in person, I'm glad I didn't because the step in the center of the rear bumper makes it very easy to get up there.

OK, so how did this guy get his Ranger so fast (3 months and 1 week) when we are still waiting? I have figured this out. Brandon Ford is (so they claim) the largest Ford truck seller in the country. I believe that they get preferential treatment in terms of allotments, build priority, and delivery. I think that when they place an order they get bumped to the front of the line. When I placed my order, I asked them how much they wanted down and they said nothing, if I didn't want it when it was delivered, they could easily sell it so they weren't the least bit concerned. I was very skeptical about that part and even thought that they might sell it from under me when it arrived but that never happened. They are a Stand-Up dealership that keeps their word. In hindsight, my experience with Brandon Ford of Tampa Florida and General Manager Brooksye Wall was a monumental positive experience and I would not hesitate recommending them or buying from them in the future myself.
