I had the same loss of power everyone is mentioning when turning right from a stop in the 2021 ranger that I just traded. Only lasted a few seconds and it was not frequent, maybe about a dozen times in three years, so I never informed the dealer at service. My 2025 with the 2.7 has none it yet, only have 500 miles on the odometer.

This has happened to me twice now, once turning in each direction.

I rounded a 90 degree right-hand corner without having to stop (the light was green for me) and the truck lost all power for (a very long) 1-2 seconds. The accelerator pedal didn’t respond. The truck just coasted. Then, just as suddenly, the pedal responded and off we went.

Yesterday I turned a left corner from one road onto another (no stop sign) and the truck didn't respond to me pressing the accelerator pedal. No “Check Engine” light, no errors, nothing. Then it took off after a couple of seconds like nothing was wrong. The same thing happened tonight but while turning right so it’s not direction dependent.

Of course I cannot make it happen at will, it’s just totally random.

The truck has under 1000 miles (7xx) on it. Gas level was ~2/3 of a tank of Exxon 87 octane. Outside temp was in the 60s and the truck was fully warmed up In both cases.

Any ideas? I’ll be calling the dealer tomorrow.
what did the dealer tell you?

This has started to have this happen for me as well. 2025 with the 2.7. Truck has ~5000 now and I didn't have any issues until the past couple weeks. I've had this happen twice, seems to be random. I glide through a turn and when I go to accelerate nothing happens for like 2-3 seconds and then the transmission catches. I am planning to take it to the dealer, but I'm sure they won't do anything except maybe reset it. Looks like this issue has been posted on the highway safety website at least once. I'd encourage anyone with the issue to put in a report. Unless the dealer finds a solution I will be doing the same myself.
