Hi All,

New to the forum.
Just picked up a 2026 Ranger Lariat FX4 with the 2.7.
Looking to add a 2.5" RC level, and mostly decided to keep the OEM wheels. I am looking to go to a bigger tire size but I don't want any rubbing at full lock, or have to do any trimming or cutting or modification of any kind. What is a conservative safe tire size?

Second question: Did anyone adjust their headlights so they don't blind others after doing the level/tire upgrade? If so, how did you do it?

Thanks in advance!

I don’t understand the question why would you adjust your light to avoid blinding people that’s half the point of leveling

i had to adjust mine down when i did the 2.5 level. it did indeed raise the cut off line so it would have been blinding oncoming traffic.

there is an adjustment screw for the headlights on the outer rear of the housing in the engine bay. when you look in the hole, a large phillips will fit it. its a white plastic gear.

you can easily go to a 265 series instead of the stock 255. that will give you slightly taller and slightly wider. and you can add a small 1" wheel spacer if you want to push the wheels out. that is a cheap non-permanent mod that improves the look with the level

On my XLT FX4, yes, had to because lights were shining at the top of trees
IIRC, Lariats have auto adjustment, so you may not have to do anything.

Many have put up to 33" tires with no problems. But going wider may cause rubbing.

I've leveled my 2025 lariat and got 265/70R18 tires.

If changing tire size, unless a dealer will change tire circumference, forscan or Procal to the rescue. I started with changing wheel circumference first. Vehicle speed plays a part in more than just the speedometer.

The 24 and 25 lariat has the high level LED headlights, so I also did a HCM recalibration. Although the lariat headlights self level based on speed, acceleration, suspension height, etc., it's worthwhile to avoid the truck thinking it's always in an inclined state. This is synonymous to the VCM calibration that should be done on the Raptor. The truck needs to be on level ground. It will zero the front and rear suspension height sensors and the prompt you to adjust your headlights. The lariat lights are VOR. There's a fairly simple procedure to adjust the headlights. The hardest thing is getting the phillips head screw driver that had a long enough shaft. I had to adjust my beam down about 2 inches.

The CCM has a 3 degree tolerance, so my 1.8" level is approximately 0.8 degrees of incline, which is within tolerance. I don't tow any crazy weight that would cause the back to sag significantly. I may check the level of the sensor, but don't anticipate having to adjust and calibrate.

Finally, I haven't encountered any 360 camera or lane centering issues. If so, there's a procedure to recalibrate.
