AFE 65mm Throttle body upgrade

Came across another upgrade option this morning didn't even know it was available. Good to see more coming out for our trucks. wide range of applications. Seems to be plug and play. thoughts?

Not this new of an engine but i put oversize throttle bodies on all my tj, xj, yj, and zj jeeps in thr past. What a world of difference it made.

Also on my old bmws, late 80s and early 90s. Worth doing on those engines.

I feel like it would be beneficial on these engines since the sensors will adjust for the exhaust and air flow changes.

I do think tuning if you do this would make it better. Its like how an air intake feels before and after tuning. Tune to take full advantage of what the new part can do

For only 8 HP gain... what is the cost?

I believe the dyno sheet / those numbers are for a Broncos 2.7L. I'd assume the RR would see much better results esp when paired with more boost / tune. Throttle body is a bottleneck. Without double checking i think the price was $468. Has tps on it, no swapping over sensors required.

Good thing I saved the ported 64.5mm from my last ranger. That's the exact size of the intake opening. It was about a third of the cost of that one.

What RPM are you seeing the 10+/- hp increase @DirtDerrick?

You probably gain some throttle response too.

The 3.0l will see bigger gains with this, and any other induction mods or a tune will add to it.

This is a cool upgrade.
