Searched but couldn't find an answer - those of you with aftermarket wheels, are you buying a 5th wheel for the spare as well if you are keeping the OEM tire size but have a different offset? I assume even in a pinch it wouldn't be ideal to drive on mismatched offset wheels. If so, any issues fitting a more negative offset (+25) wheel up in there?

Since I used the stock tires I just kept the factory spare. In a pinch I don't imagine the offset would cause an issue. For me I would just try to get the spare tire swapped onto the different offset wheel as soon as I could.

Offset won't really matter as far as stashing your spare underneath; the tire winch thing doesn't care what your offset is, just keep cranking until it's tight up in there. The spare slot fits up to 35s no problem...mine is 35x12.5 /+35.

I bought 5 wheels

I bought 5 KMC Canyon wheels (an extra to replace the OEM steelie spare)for my 24 RR which are +25 offset. With the 285 stock KO3's it fits just fine beneath the bed.

The only vehicle I ever had a matching spare for was my Jeep TJ. Otherwise in 50 years it hasn't been a problem, although on 2 occasions off road I had to change 2 tires because I had a flat on the rear and the locker was not happy with a 35 on one side and a 225 on the other...

I wouldn't worry about offset, but I changed tire diameter so I bought a 5th wheel/tire combo for the spare. I also have snow tires and I matched the diameter/circumference of my spring-fall wheels and tires so I didn't need 5 of those.

I still have my stock spare wheel under the truck while running my +35 methods and stock tires. When I move up to 35's I have a 5th method that will be getting a 35 and going in the bed, and ditching the stock spare.

Different size tires effects the differentials and clutching as it deals with differing wheels speeds.
