Before I had the lift done in the front, I marked the location of the lights to see if there was much of a difference with the throw. I was happily met with several folks flashing high beams at me the next night.
I'm thinking it can't be that much of a difference with a 2.5 level, right? .....About 4".......I'm just blasting folks, which is dumb.

So I located the handy gadget that adjusts the throw of the lights back to normal. I am the saver of retinas.

The Lariat projector lights are supposed to be self-leveling. I see my headlights perform a self-check each time I turn the truck on in the dark... inside to outside, up and down, then to level. Lariat's shouldn't require changing after a lift.
Hey, you've gotta get a little something for all that extra money... :)

The headlights are self leveling to the height they are adjusted to. This feature is to keep your headlights shining at the same adjusted height when you have weight in the truck. If you shine your lights on a wall, stand on the rear bumper, you will see the headlights go up, then come back down to the original height. If you put in a leveling kit, or anything that changes the stance of the truck, the headlights need to be re-adjusted.

You can also test by marking the height of the headlights like you did, then use a floor jack to lift the front a few inches and check the lights again.

Did anyone Adjust @ 25" on level ground?
Also curious as the Facebook boys are saying the performance LED needs no adjustment as they auto level. Are they wrong?

You are WAY too close to make a meaningful adjustment and your beam will be too low. Have to make that measurement at 25 feet.

Just so people understand:
Ford Ranger Aiming my headlights after the lift headlightaim

This is exaggerated but I think it gets the point across. Dark blue is the OEM aim at 25 feet and light blue is the headlight reaimed to the correct drop at 25 feet after a level. Red is a somewhat exaggerated example of what you did by aiming the headlights at a point of tangent at a few feet from the front of the truck. Yes it is *fine* but you won't be able to see jack without your highbeams on. Didn't feel like booting up fusion 360 to get this more accurate.

Yes.
They self adjust to the level they are adjusted to, so they stay same height with different payloads. Jump up on the tailgate and watch them go up and come back down to the height they are set at. Half the people replying on FB aren't as smart as a dog.
