Alucab Contour Canopy

Installed an Alucab Contour Canopy topper from OK4wd. I've had a lot of the Alucab products over the years on different vehicles, and I am a huge fan. Really like the Contour Canopy for the Ranger, and the side windows are a nice option. The mounting brackets and the replacement bed top pieces are a big improvement and really show the quality behind these products.

I love the look of these. Do you think it will be waterproof? Did you do anything to the rear suspension to accommodate for the extra weight now?

The Ranger bed itself has a bunch of holes. The tailgate gap is huge also. I've had an x4s hard roll-up cover on the truck for a few months and would notice some water getting in. This topper is water tight and the mounting system is far better than any others I've seen. Any water or dust intrusion will be solely due to the design of the Ranger bed, not this topper. I plan to go around and cover the random holes in the bed with a sealant and try to find a good tailgate seal. The topper has a positive pressure vent, which helps greatly with dust intrusion.

I had a GOAT top hat spacer kit installed before this. I had a 1.5" F and 1" rear. This topper dropped the bed about .5". I plan to run a different spring to regain the height and better support for camping gear. I like the factory rake and look to get the truck closer to that soon.
