Another Recall?

Same thing happened to me. Wired the dealer the money and on the way to pick it up they called me and say it can't leave the lot until the recall is performed. I have not even picked it up and problems already. I am reconsidering this purchase now.

Wow that sucks. Puts my own situation in perspective. Hoping they sort it out quick…

My OTA update was completed but it was for the PCM not the brakes. It updated onboard diagnostics.
I heard the OTA for the brakes was supposed to be available yesterday. I got my recall letter yesterday also, it does not mention OTA update. Am wondering if that information may have been incorrect as it did not come from Ford. If anyone has any information about the brake update being OTA please let us know.

YUP, I never had a vehicle with an airbag until 1997. Safety features in those days were never a worry! In the 1980's seatbelts were not required when I took my drivers license exam. Most never wore them lots of deaths

I remember laying on the package tray as a kid and of course us kids in the back of the station wagon with the rear window rolled down. Those were the days! Seat belts were never worn and usually pushed into the seat crack.

My parents put me in the parcel tray in the back of a 1958 Beetle convertible. That 36 HP flat 4 helped lull me to sleep. LOL.

Figured I'd just check in Ford Pass to see if me recall service had cleared the app's warning message... it hasn't... only to find a new recall notice "Side Curtain Airbag". Anybody else seeing this?

My brake booster recall has cleared. Took about 2 weeks after it was completed

Thx... after your post, I figured I'd check again and sure enough mine has cleared as well... about a week in my case.

Appears to be some sort of shield that needs to be replaced. No parts available yet as per my dealership in Canada. I hope they don't have to rip the interior apart. That's all anybody needs is rattles after the techs pull the interior apart.

If you look at your pillar inside it says Airbag on it. Its just a plastic trim piece covering it.

For me I had to search for 2 months to find a dealer willing to sell a new RR at msrp in SoCal. When my dealer got the truck yesterday they told me they can’t deliver till the side airbag recall gets fixed. I bought it anyway because of the no markup. Hopeful this gets resolved quick.
