Purchased in February 2022. Has 21,000 miles now. Yes, same 10 speed transmission with sport mode.

Love that the XLT with "High Equipment Group" gets driver AND passenger heated power seats. Hate that it doesn't get push to start, but maybe in Job 2--wishful thinking. Either way, I expect it to be delivered no sooner than late fall 2024 or early 2025. Hoping interest rates drop a little by then. Also, I'm undecided if I need the side step to access the bed. Seems like the bed is small enough to reach and if I need to get into the bed, I would step on the bumper. Anyone have real world experience with the new step system on the Ranger?

The dealer near me had a Ranger with the step and a Ranger without the step on their lot sitting right next to each other. My daughter and I tried it, and neither of us felt like we would use it. For reference, I’m 6’2” and she is 5’5” so we had both a taller and shorter perspective... There are plenty of people that love the step and that’s fine, but it just didn’t seem like something that we would use.

I’m also waiting on my 2.7L order placed on May 6th. I would be thrilled if it arrived by early August because of some work I have planned, but based upon all the delays so far, I’m expecting it to be delivered as a 2025 model sometime in the late Fall.

That's good to know. Thank you for sharing. It sounds like a great idea in theory (on larger trucks), but I likely would not use it either. I could definitely use it in my F150!! And I am hopeful we will see our Rangers sooner than later, but after waiting over a year for my Bronco, I'm trying to be pragmatic. Ford did tell me they would give me an update within 45 days, so maybe that will be telling. Best of luck with your order and be sure to share any further updates.

I placed my order for an XLT FX4 with the 2.7L on May 6 with my dealer. Received the confirmation from Ford on May 7th. For those of you on the fence, the 2.7 is a rocket compared to the 2.3. I had both in the bronco and got rid of the 2.3. Still have my 2.7 2dr Bronco and love driving it. Just need a new pickup to replace the old F150 and the Ranger fit the bill. Happy Rangering...
The Bronco is a lot heavier, I believe.

Not sure on the exact weight of the new Ranger XLT, but the FX4 has the added steel bash plate and engine/xfer case/fuel tank guards, plus larger tires. My guess is it will be close to a 2-door outer banks, both with the 2.7 engine.

Anyone receive a ranger with 2.7 ecoboost yet?
Mine has been sitting in Tacoma waiting to get on a barge to Anchorage since 9/6 (ordered on 5/12; shipped on 8/22). Current delivery is 9/24 to 9/30… but this changed multiple times.

I got mine on labor day. Traded in my 3.5 eco F150. Feel just ast fast as that truck, the torque is awesome. I test drove a couple 2.3's but was worried about how it would tow my atvs. I have no worries with this thing.

picked up mine yesterday (special order in late may). the 2.3 is nice but the 2.7 is so much smoother (dont even really notice the auto start stop!)

What are your thoughts? How do you like it?
I love it. Smooth and powerful. I’ve been driving a 2022 XL with the 2.3 and feel there is no comparison. I’ve only got 275 miles on it and haven’t got on it yes, but expect will perform.
