So there's been this gap in the driver-side bumper of my 2024 Lariat since new. Didn't notice it until a few days after I got it, and if I push it in, it immediately slowly slides back out. Forgot to mention it at the first oil change, so mentioned it this last time and the rep just kept telling me I would have to take it to a body shop. It's not even got 10k miles on it.

I know it's minor, and I wouldn't mind if it was used, but shouldn't this be covered under warranty of a new truck?
And I was curious if anyone else has this issue.

Coming from Subaru, then Nissan, I'm very underwhelmed with this Ford dealership so far. Hopefully the other local one will be better. They seem so inconvenienced when I come in for a scheduled oil change.

That would annoy me - but only enough to fix it. Seems like one of the clips isn't engaged or something like that. I'd just get under the vehicle and/or behind the wheel arch lining and figure it out. Probably an easy fix. Agree that the dealer should probably do it, but if they won't it shouldn't be too hard to rectify it yourself.

If you are even a little bit handy just fix that yourself. As Sauce said, it's likely just a clip that isn't seated. RR the offending side of the bumper and see if it snaps back into place. I've learned to only use the dealership for major warranty issues.

had something similar on my 24 Lariat, took it to the dealer and they fixed it along with another trim piece not lined up.

I'm with the try to fix it yourself camp.

In my experience, with something like this, if you can fix it yourself you should. No one cares about your vehicle as much as you do and very likely you'll get it back with a missing clip elsewhere, a scratch or something.

If you don't feel comfortable trying to tackle it, definitely find another dealership if possible. The response of this dealership already signals customer satisfaction is low on their priority list. This is a dealer specific thing, not necessarily ford as a whole. If you have another dealership that is somewhat local, give them a try.

2024 Ranger XLT FX4. I had the same issue AFTER my driver's side front was repaired after hitting a deer. 2 trips later to the body shop, a tech with patience & small hands replaced 2 clips & haven't had a problem since. It took her about 1/2 hour.

Oooookkkkkaaaaayyyyyy, have you taken it to a Ford body shop? Things like that ARE warranty items. The dealer shops don't do body work, dealer body shops do. Stop whining and take care of it.

Need to be careful if it readily does not push and snap back in and you have to take the bumper cover off. That black wheel well molding has to come off first and about a 75% chance you are going to break the tabs on the wheel molding and have to buy new wheel molding. That whole bumper cover is very layered and other stuff has to come off before pulling it. I talk from experience.
