Has anyone attempted to fiberglass the under part of the back seat. And added with a 2" seat lift? How much free net air space were you able to achieve. I'm going to attempt this soon and need a solid .8CF Net for a Hertz MPS 300 S2 12. Any feedback would be appreciated.

why do you want to do this? the rear seat head room isnt the greatest and you want to make it smaller for what reasoning?

I’m not understanding. Are you asking about a rear seat delete? Or something else?

Any mod like this will wreck the resale value of your truck, unless you remove it completely first. Make sure you do not permanently mess up the factory seat and mounts. I am pretty sure you won’t find any pre made kit because of the headroom issue…

Maybe you should explain why you don’t want to use one of the much easier behind the seat back setups.

Are you experienced with fiberglass layup and familiar with its serious health hazards?

If I understand correctly, you are trying to raise the back seat by 2" to fit some audio gear? I don't know that you need fiberglass for that, but that's going to be very involved to retain a safe back seat. Do you actually need a back seat or would it be better to remove it for your uses?

It’s been measured and it’s no where near .8, don’t think anything bigger than a 10” will fit under the seat.

Get the Wavtech ThinPro 10. It only needs 9L and you can get that moulding the storage well and leave the seat as is. I’m running it now and seat bottom locks down and still sounds great

The Hertz MPS 250 S2 is more than capable of overwhelming the rest of the system and it fits. Like others have mentioned, why ruin the truck for an additional 2" and a few extra Hz?

I was considering this sub, which enclosure are you using and how do you like it?

I actually made my own. I used painters plastic in the recess and mixed some expanding foam for a cast then fiberglassed that. I wanted to have all that space to work with vs just the plastic to mold from. I have a second one in case you’re in the PNW. I love the Wavtech! When it finally broke in it was almost like a switch flipped. It was really good and then one day I realized it was great hahah.
