Anyone know if there will ever be a Shelby version of the Ranger Raptor?

I recently saw a Shelby Raptor R , it got me curious if they had other Shelby Raptor Versions.
‘I don’t see one on the Shelby website, but I could see them doing one someday with all the Shelby magic.
Maybe a Coyote swap , maybe supercharged, maybe even longer travel suspension.

Understanding the business model of my former employer before retiring, I seriously doubt Shelby American is/will be interested in offerings associated with the Ranger family, especially in the form of a Coyote swap or supercharger to replace the dual turbos. Having typed that, it never hurts to ping Gary Patterson and ask the question. If anything, they will offer a line of "bling" and bolt-on cool stuff to make our trucks look Shelbyized. If they do offer suspension systems, it will likely be under the umbrella of Ford Performance.

But hey.....it never hurts to dream!

Somewhere around the mid 90's, Dodge had a Shelby Dakota they sold. Don't recall much about what Shelby did except the exterior--wheels, graphics, and something behind the cab. So there is history with mid-size trucks.

The last time I talked with Gary (President of Shelby American) Patterson about this subject he shared that they do not have any plans or long term plans to enter the Ranger market. The reason was there was not enough of these trucks to warrant the engineering and production.

If you compare the units produced with Rangers compared to Ford Explorer you can see the reasoning here and why. But anything could change at any time.

If anyone has the time they should stop in at the factory and museum for Shelby American in Las Vegas for a great opportunity to see the history and future of Carroll Shelby.

Yea, I figured it would be long shot, largely for the reasons you stated, just not enough US production qty to warrant the development cost involved. Least wise not enough Production volume yet. Maybe if Ford wanted to add a second plant maybe combine it with a US spec Everest, maybe add in the SD Ranger, they could get the volume up and make decent business case for not only Ford US, but also aftermarket companies like Shelby .

Shelby had a falling out with Ford, one of many times, and left to follow Lee Iacocco to Chrysler. That is when the Dodge Omni became the Daytona, basically a 2 door hatchback economy race car with improved horsepower, cams, heads and exhaust. Definitely like those others that would stick decals and stripes on a vehicle and charge $$$$. Shelby loved this project and continued to drive his personal one up to and including his final years.

His Shelby American group, in Las Vegas, stuffed a H.O. engine into it and he was often found embarrassing the young drivers of Las Vegas in traffic light drag races. Who would have known the old gray hair guy in the 2-door hatchback had a serious sleeper!

My daughter lives in Las Vegas and I have visited the Shelby museum.
I enjoyed it.

This Shelby F250 just dropped on March 12th.

The announcement states it’s the first of many new Shelby Trucks to come.

Maybe some hope for a Shelby RR to het added to their new lineup .

Never say never,especially since Shelby has moved the truck building in house as opposed to the prior arrangement.
I really loved my Super Snake sport.It hurt a lot of feelings with 775 hp
4 high launches were so much fun!

Mine was number 61 of 300 made in 2021.They only made 900 total SuperSnkae sports for 3 years.
There are rumors it may return,so maybe a Ranger can be added into the mix.
