I have a new truck with only 275 miles on it and my truck has yet to shut down the engine at a stopped traffic light or even waiting for my food at McDonald’s for 2 to 3 minutes. So in wondering if it’s inhibited for a while during the break-in period . That would tell me that ford could disable it .

A lot of conditions have to be meet before it will shut down, won't really do it in the cold as there are lots of demands for it not to work. Wait until it gets warmer.

A software update to have the feature memorized between key cycles is all they need to do. Just like Heated seats!

Yeah, but they botched the heated seat settings with the last Ford Pass App uodated.
Now my heated seats are always on when I use scheduled starts, even if I have them 'off' in the settings., and the outside temp is mid 70s. I don't have much confidence in Ford patching the ASS, without screwing something else up.

there are plenty of ways that ass is turned off, sport mode for instance, so I would agree, if ford wanted they could allow you to turn it off.

At first I was ok with it because you can control it with braking and then I got used to auto hold and there is a very fine line between enabling auto hold and Turning off your engine.

and sport mode by default turns off ass so you drive around in sport mode and then change to normal or eco and you forget to turn off ass

oh the problems……

so I bought the ass off doohickey that installs in your glove compartment, even though I originally thought it was silly.

yup. thats the problem with the president and political parties being in this stuff. every 4 years it can be changed

We need term limits in Congress and accountability for insider trading! Audit every lawmaker with a fine tooth comb and watch the defecation contact the rotary oscillator! It was never required by law. There was an incentive for automakers to install it. They have removed the incentive. It will be up to each manufacturer whether or not to keep it going forward.
