Auto Stop-Start in SPORT Mode?? WTH?

Dunno if its just the cold weather here in KC but the past few days when Im in SPORT mode my auto stop/start was activated. any one else have this issue? It did correct itself after afew cycles from other drives modes back to sport.

Can you clarify? Did you turn off the SS, and it reactivated when you switched to Sport mode? Or has SS automatically been turned off when you go to Sport mode, but now it is different? Do you have a SS eliminator device that's being defeated when you go to Sport?

FYI, my experience and understanding is that SS doesn't care which driving mode you're in. It is on unless you turn it off.

SS deactivates in Sport, I’m also pretty sure it deactivates in towing mode or when you have Max A/C on. At least that’s how Fords usually worked. I know mine is deactivated in Sport.

I run sport 99% of the time and start/stop is always disabled automatically.

I ordered a bypass from Amazon for $99.00. Simple 5 min. install. Problem solved!

From what I've gathered I don't think they actually need to do anything. The tune just makes it so the truck retains last auto S/S settings. Not 100% sure but I think that's it.

Thats cool. I want to ask if i can watch what they do. I know its really nothing but hit some buttons but i would like to watch the hook up and how to choose settings amd stuff

I have the Ford ProCal tune and my S/S setting isn't retained from the last drive.

Im about to get mine installed at the dealer (procal tune), Im just afraid those turds are gonna "function test" it and go drive it like assholes. They did that on my 2006 Ford Mustang GT. Got it off the truck with all the plastic and had under 3 miles. They had to keep it to inspect it and "detail" it. It had 28 miles on it when I picked it up. I freaked out on them.and they just shrugged and said they had to inspect it and drive it for the state inspection. I was like you had to drive it 20+ miles? It bothered me the entire time I owned it because I didnt know how hard they drove it before it was even broken in.

Anyway, would be nice if the tuner disabled the Auto SS function, would essentially make the tuner/install $350 not having to buy the plug in!

Easily rectified; use your Ford Pass telemetry and take a mileage reading, posted on the service contract.

Your dealership service is charged with care and custody of your truck. Make it very apparent that you do not consent to any test drives, unless you are present in the cab and back it up with the odometer reading.

They must comply.???

Yeah, I got my truck now and have both the procal and the disabler, neither installed yet lol
