That’s great to hear. I just lowered the psi to 39. We will see if that helps out. I’m seriously considering changing the oil to a better synthetic in about 1k miles or so.
Billings to Cheyenne, I averaged just over 19mpg with normal cruise set at 80 (where legal) with a partial headwind. Anything faster and the mpg drops quickly.

Vegas to LA I had about the same. Pretty good! It’s the city driving that turns this into a guzzler.

Question for everyone…. I have a ‘24 RR. Still brand new. I recently did a trip from Vegas to LA and I think the mpg was pretty good. I was averaging almost 20mpg!

I have noticed the city MPG has been awful. No where near the 16mpg as advertised. I realize it’s never going to be that good, I didn’t buy this bc I was worried about gas mileage so much. But I’ve been getting between 10-12.5 mpg just driving around getting groceries sitting at lights. Nothing major. It feels like I loose a mile every time I take off from a red light. I’m just watching the miles drop in real time as I’m driving around town. Is anyone else experiencing this? Will it get better with more break in? I’d be happy with 15 or so, but this thing is sucking gas at what seems like a pretty unrealistic pace for an “eco” boost engine. I feel like I should have the big raptor motor with this mileage. Also, when driving I’m keeping it under 3000rpm and out of the turbos to conserve. Doesn’t seem to help. Picture is my week of driving around town…

I have 2300 miles on mine and the lie-ometer on the dash says 18.6 MPGs.
I am at 1800+ miles and I am getting about the same (18.6). This includes a mixture of driving, but more City than Highway. (Tire pressure 39psi and running 89 Octane).

My mileage has been all over the place, from a high of 22.5, 2 lane road, slower speeds to 8.5 towing a travel trailer up highway 87 from Mesa, AZ to Payton, AZ. It’s hard to keep your foot out of the gas pedal when you get such amazing results. Then from Payton, AZ to Flagstaff on flatter terrain went up to 14, again towing the same 3500 pound trailer.
Another time I was really watching the mileage was from Raton, NM to Albuquerque, NM on I-25. We had a 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road and at 80 with similar conditions I got 12.5 mpg’s solo, I’ll include a picture of the dash on the Raptor for you to see that mileage and also a picture of the Raptor attached to the trailer. I’m thinking the Raptor’s 10 speed transmission and much more HP and torque account for the better mileage, often times I climb some very high hills in 10th gear with only a downshift to 9th. Tacoma transmission would be buzzing all over the place.

Sorry for the repeat photos and the unrelated lake pictures and also not Payton, AZ but Payson.

Just got back from a 400 mile road trip.
I was traveling here in open plains of Oklahoma and Kansas where wind speeds are typically in a range of 15-30mph, which I mention that since wind and speed tend to play huge factor in fuel mileage . The interstate speed limits are 70-80mph . I tend to run 5-10mph over .
‘This past trip my RR was a thirsty rig. Having traveled this same area for over 40 years I was a little surprised just how bad the mileage was. I am more then convinced a 5.0L v8 would have gotten a lot better milage then 3.0L EB. Since there was a 2023 model 5.0L 4x4 crew cab some of my employees were in on the same trip, I know for fact the v8 F150 does much better on fuel.
Bucking a head wind of 20-25mph running 85 average speed at that time was 76mph fuel milage was only 11.3mpg.

A little over half way through the trip this was more of 15 mph cross wind conditions fuel milage had improved to a wrapping 12.1 Mpg avg speed 64 mph at 250 miles into the trip.

The 5.0L F150 I don’t think was running more then 80 mph and never really dipped below 17 mpg.
I will have to confirm but I think it ended up at 18.6 mpg on the trip and my RR 12.4 after a tailwind on the way back bumped up my average a little.

That’s pretty much the same fuel milage I was getting in my 700 hp TRX running the same roads at similar speeds. Mid 12s .

With a 4.27 rear end ratio and all the low end torque, it takes nothing to spool up the turbos. You sure don't drive these for fuel economy, you drive them for fun, period.

This is my biggest disappointment. My full size raptor got better mpg than this does. If there is ever a 2.7l tremor, I'll be trading down to it.

Love this truck, but 11 to 13 town and 15 to 17 hwy sux!!! Especially with premium fuel requirement at 3.50 to 4.50 per gallon.

If it wasn't my everyday vehicle, I'd care far less, but since it is, this is no bueno!!

Stock I averaged 14.8mpg over the first 5k miles. I've had the FP tune installed for 2k miles and am now seeing 14.5.

Mine is tuned with the Ford tune, has 10 ply 34" tires and about 500 lbs on it back, plus I am sure my headache rack is not doing the Aerodynamics any favors.

So mileage was never my concern when I bought it or built it out to my needs and liking.

I don't really know why I am even a little surprised by the 11-12 mpg at 80+ mpg out of my truck's setup. The day I bought the truck I had a long 4-hour road trip home in it and that was the best mileage it ever got, right at 20 mpg.

Ever since then, it has gotten worse and worse. LOL
All likely due to the modifications I mentioned.

I had a couple Diesel Colorado's that did not get a whole lot better given the same bed rack tools and boxes and similar oversized tires.
Bottom line it just takes so much energy to move so much mass, then factor in similar external influences like terrain speed and wind it really should not shock me about the results.

Oddly enough the best mileage vehicle I own is my 6.4L Scat pack Challenger, but in trucks it is my 2023 RAM 2500 4x4 Cummins diesel power, which has a similar rack and larger toolbox, much heavier truck but that truck can run in the 80+mph range into a strong head wind and still pull off 13-14 mpg.

I have always found this stuff to be very interesting.

I am still scratching my head though how that other post about a RR towing a travel trailer was getting 20mpg. That one I really don't understand how that can happen.

I know this thread is about Raptors, but it is possible to get pretty good MPGs with a Ranger that is 4X2 and if you drive the speed limits. Here is the dash view for over 5,000 miles and it shows an average of 23.7 MPG. This is about 1/3 city miles and 2/3 highway in the mid west. High speeds and headwinds have a lot to do with MPGs.

Due to cold weather, winter blend fuel, more remote starting and idling I lost about 1.5 MPGs.
I was getting about 18.5 MPGs but lately it dropped to 17 MPGs.
I have almost 10K miles on my Ranger Raptor. I'm happy with my fuel mileage but the small tank makes it seem like a gas hog. ?
